MATTHEW; 5; 17; Think not I come to destroy the law,or the prophets; I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. ....The law could not be destroyed because it was the written word of God spoken from him. Instead, Jesus came to bring the law to an end only for those that believed on his name and accepted him as their Lord and Savior. Therefore bringing new commands that he taught when he was on earth. All the new commands, he taught before he left. He became the new law, and everyone under him was no longer under the old law.. The old law exist only to those who walk in darkness, because they only have the old law to lean on, they have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.. The old law could not and will not save anyone, as Jesus have saved those who believe. He did what the old law could not do. The old law could not fill a person with the Holy Ghost, heal the sick, or raise the dead. It could not teach the word of God., or give eternal life.
