Been reading my past blogs and I never thought that was me, 2 years ago. Today, I was thanking and praising the Lord for the grace He has been giving me from the time that I first met Him up until now. It was never been easy to keep a testimony, to fight for the calling you have been called. Looking back, it was really a roller coaster life, full of ups, downs and loops. I am thankful to my leaders, friends and specially to God for being my seatbelt and have been keeping me to place, never letting me to fall. I cannot imagine my life without them. Now, I just want to share this verse to you:
19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,20 by a new and living wayopened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,22 let us draw near to Godwith a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscienceand having our bodies washed with pure water.23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
When you've read the chapters before this, it talks about how Jesus is sufficient and sovereign that is why this verse is talking about how we should respond to his sovereignty. My prayer is that we would take this as an opprtunity to first, draw near to Him. Because of what He did on the cross, we were given a privilege to draw near to Him, anytime (Hebrews 10:22) with full assurance of faith, for without faith, we cannot please God. 2nd, we have the chance to hold on the hope we have been given for the One who gave it is faithful. maybe we were once been given a promise that has been forgotten, now, we can be assured of what He has promised will come to pass. Lastly, we can have someone to walk with and even someone whom will fight with you, because we have God-given people whom we met because of the same reason why Jesus died on the cross.
As this year goes on let us be reminded that whatever happens, He will remain sovereign and He is good =)
