  1. Never Will I Leave You...

"...God has said, 'Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.'” —Hebrews 13:5

We all have verses that God uses to get us through a season of our lives, but then we have life verses that remain meaningful for as long as we live. Hebrews 13:5 has been one of my life verses. My parents divorced before my first birthday so I was mostly raised by my mother. Although my dad did not abandon my family, my soul felt abandoned because he was not a part of our household. The
  2. Enjoy your Day!

by , 1 Week Ago at 02:11 PM
I write a lot of business emails every day. I used to close with: Have a good day! As I have grown as a Christian, I see a change in my way of thinking as it applies to myself and others. Instead of hoping the world circumstances would change to present them (or me) with a day filled with situations that bring peace and happiness, I have begun to realize that having good day is really a matter of choice. I was walking around Six Flags with my children the other day. We were having a great time in the water park when I saw these very young Muslim women. They were covered from head to toe in scarves and veils. It was so incredibly hot that day! Later I saw another older woman with her entire face covered along with all of the rest of her body. It was easily 95 degrees—maybe hotter. I was moved with compassion for them. I refuse to believe they were wearing all of this by choice. I was moved to pray ...
  5. Poems about Creation

    by , December 13th, 2016 at 03:55 PM
I have been feeling kind of down lately. The news always seems to be really negative, and I don't think I spend enough time appreciating nature as I should. Plus I am so busy. I got to thinking that maybe other people felt the same way. So I put together a collection of Christian poems in a free ebook. It is neat to see nature and all parts of creation through the eyes of talented poets. If you are interested, your can read it on my website here: Even if you decide ...
