    Yes, there is power in Jesus' blood. This fact has nothing to do with the Roman Catholic teaching of transubstantiation or any Animistic superstitions.

    It is good to go back to the Old Testament and take a look at animal sacrifice. It is based on God's eternal declaration that there is no remission of sin without shedding of blood (Hebrews 9:22). It is valid for all times, both OT and NT.
