    In John chapter 2 we read of the wedding that Jesus attended in Cana, Galilee. This is the occasion when Jesus turned water to wine at a function where the wedding planners had made a terrible mistake in ordering too little wine. However, my attention is drawn to Mary who brought the problem to Jesus attention. Today I was struck by the faith that this woman placed in the young man she had nurtured and raised.     You first heard it when you were a child, "Now, I want you to promise me...."

    "'ll listen to your older sister!"
    " won't get into the cookies."
    ".....You'll come right home after school!"
    "'ll be good for Grandma."

    Of course, these types of promises weren't always freely given. You were requested to make them.
