You know you can embed an image in your post, if you want to show something, by using the [img] tag, or by simply clicking the image button in the editor.
Now you also have the option to embed a youTube video, with the [youtube] tag. Here's how:
Every youTube video has a unique identifier, which you can get from the URL (usually at the very end, but it depends). For example, if you want to embed the youTube video from this url:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zF7H9Ri7o-0
Then tear off the unique identifier
zF7H9Ri7o-0 and put it between the youtube tags like this:
[youtube]zF7H9Ri7o-0[/youtube]
We have set it to
not show the youtube "related videos" so that it's more controlled (no videos will be shown or linked except the one that you embed). The player does have the youTube logo and it does link to the original video on the youTube site, but you don't have to click it, you can just stay here
Why are we allowing this? Well we allow photos to be embedded in posts, so why not also videos, if you need to show something.
This is also a precursor to setting up our own BelieverTube site (if God wills) and doing the same with it (and actually integrating it with Christian Chat in some very useful ways). But for now, you can simply embed youTube videos, if you need to or want to show something for some good purpose.
