an earth year is a thousand years in heaven.. and it talks about the generations and such in Genisis and i believe in the theory of "young earth" because if God flooded the world than that would compress the the bones of the dinosours, and there relaly arent that many dino types just diffrent names beetweetween tthe male's and female dino's, my estimate... maybe 40-50 dino's and well those dinos evolved into what are today's aligatersand such

There are dinosaur bones, supposedly millions years old. God created all. Is the earth older than we think? 'In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth', and then he speaks all else into existence each day. Is there a gap in time between those events? I just am wondering if God created the earth and all in it longer ago than thought.
thought by who?.. lots of people believe the earth is a lot oldeer that just thousands of years..

so what your saying is that you accept evolution?

These same people who say the earth is so old also say we came from monkeys. Consider the source.
The source being the Scientific Method and the Scientific Community. Since you're using a computer, probably sitting inside a structurally sound building with an artificial environment, have used pain-killers or some other medication, and live in a generally modernized country . . . I trust the source.

if we evolved from monkeys then why are they still here?
We evolved from ancient monkey-Like animals (I'm not sure if they would actually be considered "monkeys" or simply ancient primates.) The monkeys we see today are modern variants of ancient simians, just as we are.

Ever notice how we look more like primates than we do canines, felines, lizards or spiders?

you know what? i find it funny, that evolutionist believe we are all related to bananas... no joke. because if everything 'evolved' from batirea/cell/or whatever the heck you wanna call it we are all technacally related Oo

If you believe in both God and evolution your sitting on the fence, and if your on the fence your already on the wrong side.

Of course all Animals, including us, are related. That's why we can do medical testing on pigs and mice.

Wrong. Many Christians accept Evolutionary Biology understanding that it is a testament to the amazing and elegant universe that the Lord has created.

christians who accepted have given up and decided to go along with what the world says

God created EVERYTHING he did not create 1 thing and say 'well this is good enough, ill just let it sort itself out' NO and if you believe in evolution how can you say believe that adam eve the garden of eden or even GOD existed? you can't otherwise your going to contridict yourself and prove nothing... I really dont need to waste my breath on you, neither does God but he LOVES you and he wants to see you saved!

you are wrong dude

the evolutionary hypothesis defies the scientific method and the 3rd law of thermodynamics

there are numbers of threads on these topics in Bible discussion forum

Science should not be defined as the majority opinion of godless men

I think my brains are too small to say something that makes sence about this topic, but I see it this way: why would we care about these questions? Does it make a difference? I just trust that Gods word is the truth ;).

But then again, I'm not a smart guy

Again, I strongly advise you to reevaluate your opinion on the matter. Evolution is a basic fact of nature, as obvious as cellular biology and biochemistry. In fact, it's necessary for understanding anything in Biology, since nothing makes sense without it. Thermodynamics, furthermore, have nothing to do with it. The subject of thermodynamics is so complex, I doubt either of us has any understanding of it whatsoever.

In response to others, please reconsider how you pit scientific knowledge and biblical theology against one another. If you read genesis understanding the deeper meaning behind it, and not just the blatantly obvious, it says more about who we are as humans than it does our origins.

We came form dust, as in, we are made of the same elements as the rest of the natural world.
We cam from Adam and Eve, as in, we all share common ancestors.
We have dominion over other creatures, as in we are the only species to have society and civilization. Yet, we diminish our dominion through sin (the forbidden fruit) which is what causes us to take advantage of our dominion and lose respect for the natural world.
I see so much more to Genesis than the pointless dribble most preach from it. To me, it is one of the greatest narratives to explain the state of man in God's eyes and our basic nature as people. To understand what we have lost and how we must regain it.

But maybe I'm just babbling on. Not only does the Biblical argument of evolution go against the natural evidence, but it harms the greater meaning of the Bible. Do we really want to make the Bible so earthly that we treat it as a textbook, or do we want to keep it as our spiritual guide?

i am sorry dude; you have been indoctrinated with a load of manmade fairy tales

the Bible warns that this would happen

it talks about

Science, falsly so called

being sent a strong delusion

1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: ...

The way scientists know the age of the the rock is through radiometric dating.
And evolution doesnt say that we came from modern monkeys, but we along with monkeys and the other primates evolved from a common ancestor.
Just to clear the confusion

Yeah some forms of radiometric aren't that accurate, scientists themselves admit that, thats why there are many ways to do it using different isotopes that are more accurate.
