''Let you who are without sin cast the first stone'. You can quote Paul all you like. Paul isn't Jesus of Nazareth.
Not stoning any one...and not approving sin either...or false doctrine that promotes sin in the name of Christ.

There are not many within Christianity that would claim that someone who is same sex attracted cannot truly be a Christian, however, most persons within Christianity would say that someone who is actively living out their attraction in a homosexual relationship cannot truly be a Christian. There is a big difference between an attraction and a lifestyle.

Anyone can CLAIM to be a Christian just as much as I could CLAIM to be a 1976 Ford F-150 pickup. What makes someone a Christian is not a claim, but a life changing experience with Jesus Christ that causes them to REPENT from their sin and align themselves with God's viewpoints. We don't get to tell God what is (or is not) sin any more that I can tell Ford Motor Company what is (or is not) a Ford truck.

PS. You are more than welcome to disagree with people's opinions, but name calling is generally frowned upon.
As opposed to what? Argumentum ad hominem? If he can't take it he shouldn't give it.

Gay marriage should be allowed once they work out how to have children together. Oh but they can't because men and women are created to have children together. Gay marriage is not natural, it goes against God.

Hateful thoughts go against God. Should we make those illegal too?

That's the point of the gospel of Jesus Christ. To save that which is lost and begin sanctifying it in preparation for perfectedness in glory.

Salvation-->Sanctification-->Glorification.

Rather than simply skipping over my informative posts to continue making false assertions, you should take the time to read them and then consider what's being communicated to you.

As Paul writes in Ephesians; if they are a genuine Christian, ultimately Christ is going to present you to God "without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless."

The only straw man in this discussion are the ones you're constructing. And, you've made a lot of them so far in this thread. Fortunately, I'm here to deconstruct, refute, and discard them for you. It's a favor though you're not mature or wise enough yet to discern it.

And I'm going to ignore your juvenility for now as it's but a manifestation of an immature ego. Peace :).

It doesn't change the fact that a person can be attracted to the same sex and be a Christian, you pedantic twerp. Put your wee straw men away.

Just a word of advice, you should listen to Oncefallen as in addition to being a genuine Christian who's life bears the fruit of such he is also a moderator here responsible for enforcing the forum's rules which you should read.

The presence of incorrectness does not invalidate correctness. You need to take a logic 101 course and begin learning how to think rationally.

This is ''help'' to some people.

I think people who think they are Gay should have corrective therapy and so should adulterers and fornicators. That's not hateful it is helping people.

I really wish you hadn't said this... lol... but you're only 15 years old and don't know better. Wait until Champa gets his chompers into this one.

Fortunately, I am here to help with the extraction process... lol.

Though I certainly see your approach, but for me this is the wrong. Downs Syndrome is a poor example why we should accept homosexuality. Downs Syndrome is not a sin, to God homosexuality is! But that is still not the main point.

Homosexuality, is the same as any sin, the problem is being in denial and non-repentant for that sin!
Jesus said rebuke the sin but forgive those who are repentant!
You mistake me. Never said that we should accept homosexuality. The same as why as Christians we should not accept any form of sexual or deranged mental illness. Remember, we reject our sin nature as that...a sin nature. So, yes I do believe homosexuals are born homosexuals. That does not mean that their desires are acceptable to God or to His children.

Realize I am saying this as someone with this specific affliction. My desires are misdirected, corrupt, and impure. They are bluntly, abominable. I pray constantly for God's strength to reject my sin nature and to be released of it. He has not done so. Either because this is a thorn that He allows because it draws me to Him for strength, or because it is a thorn that does not allow my ego to grow beyond its measure. I don't know. Also, possible He could be waiting for an appointed time.

Never the less, I was born with a fallen nature, which includes a fallen psyche and fallen flesh. This does not acquit me nor does it make my desires acceptable, but instead makes them desires to be resisted and handed over to God.

No they're not, this is so incredibly wrong. That is an erroneous way of thinking when trying to deal with the problem. They are not born that way at all.

Amazing you only take that. Okay, then you weren't born a lying, murderous, adulterous, thief at heart? Because you were. We ALL were born into sin. No getting around that.

I understand your Romans 3:23 point ThomistColin but it may be esoteric to some in the way you're applying it here as the assertion was that some people are born biologically homosexual as an act of Darwinian evolution.

That's what we're disagreeing with not that everyone's born with a sin nature. You're right that we're all born with a sin nature. That is correct.

You'll change your mind if they start doing successful uterus transplants in men. But they'd still have to get the egg from somewhere.

I don't believe it was evolution that created homosexuality, but the fruit that Adam and Eve ate. The Pandora's Box if you will.
