I have two very cute things that my niece has said.
1) we were at a mall and my father and I were sitting on a bench with my niece while her mother and grandmother were buying a Christmas present for her. We had no clue where my brother in law was, so my father said "Where is your father?"
She replied with a very confused expression and said "I don't have a father." She then paused for a while while still clearly thinking about what was said and suddenly replied with a great big smile, "I have a daddy."
2) I was playing a game with my niece and it required math to add up her points....so I say "I need help, what is 2+2?" She just looked at me and blurted out "Seriously?! Are you suffering from the summer slide?"
Awww hahahaha what is the summer slide anyway?? I gotta try it!! Hahaha that's too cute!

During the time I was potty training my son we were reading the story of Noah's ark and he was asking about what was in it and then he said, where do they go potty?

Another time he kept saying he was going to beat up the devil. I kept telling him we don't fight like that and was alarmed that he had gotten that idea. One night before bed I was reading to him the story of Jesus' temptations after he had been fasting 40 days. After the temptations the storybook said "Jesus had beat the devil". I almost fell off the bed laughing but realized that's was where he had gotten that idea.

Hahahaha ah if only we could beat up the devil like that! Those stories are adorable, thanks for sharing!

I hadn't seen my 2 1/2 year old grandson for a couple of weeks. When he ran up to me and gave me a big hug and kiss, I took his face in my hands and said, "I've missed you, bigs!" (One of his nicknames) and he replied, "I missed you too, bigs!"

I'm actually quite small. It sure gave my daughter, son in law, and I a laugh, though!

Another cute one from my grandson. When he had just turned 2, he didn't speak very clearly. You could only understand a couple of words. One night as I tucked him in, after our prayers I asked him if he wanted me to sing him a song. He nodded and when I asked him what song, he said (clear as day), "Jesus loves me; this I know!"
So, I ended up singing it over and over until he fell asleep.

That's amazing that he said "Jesus loves me, this I know." Like that when he didn't speak very clearly!

It truly was! It melted my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Out of the mouths of babes.

Another story about my 2 1/2 year old grandson:

He was walking around this evening with his toy phone up to his ear, babbling. He handed the phone to my daughter, and she said, "Who is it? Is it Aunt Em?" He said, " No. It's Jake from State Farm."

What is this Jake from State Farm? I've heard it a lot but I don't know where it's from!

It is from a State Farm commercial. The wife catches her husband on the phone at 2 in the morning. When she asks who it is, she's told that it's Jake from State Farm.
