Your personal problem with temptation.......if this means being with other woman......thats the reason your wife accuses you...
and why she is jealous.......so .....your logic was to leave......so she can drive herself mad thinking your out doing that thing with temptation
you use to struggle with......and even after leaving .......you expect her to follow your orders......is that about right????''
I am not trying to be mean.......or am I a man hater. (Some of my best friends are men).....im still confused on why you left.....and why
you refer to your child as ...."it".......or..." the kid....sounds like a possession..... first you said you wouldnt want to take the child from his mother....
but your fighting for custody .......because she wont live her life the way you demand......or approve......hmmmmm....I got nothing.....peace ....jo

to the OP:

There is no biblical precedence for separation; what you described is some sort of limbo: neither married nor divorced. You need to call it either way. If your wife doesn't want to reconcile, then you need to file. At least, that will set custody, visitation, and child support--all of which are important for you to be an effective parent to your child.

If it's Biblical reasoning that you need, then adultery, abuse (yeah, it's there), or abandonment are all scriptural. By choosing not to reconcile, that's abandonment.

Well yes. I received council from a pastor and wife after I wrote and they said that if we must separate the only grounds to do so was to spend time going after God to get in a better place individually I mean I guess I was wrong.
Couple questions before I weigh in...

Did your wife post something here a short time back about pretty much the same situation but from her side?

Did you ever go after God to get in a better place individually?

Maybe not doing so is what's wrong...

Yes I want to so desperately to fight for her man I do. I'm crazy in love with her however I am sorely hurt by her actions and have hurt her as well she has told me. Our initial separation was supposed to be just one week, when she got there something in her head turned a different switch on and just went a completely different route. I were supposed to get them this week but that changed almost instantly per her choice. It upsets me and hurts but me showing her means nothing so I avoid expressing this to her. Everything is my fault. Praying about it doesn't seem to help much, honestly speaking.I want God to help me I just don't feel Him. Anyways I will consider your advice because this isn't the first time I've heard this.
You don't feel God?? He's screaming at you dude. If you want her, If she's the love of your life.......wait, She's your WIFE. GO GET HER!!!!! She went another route?? of course she did. It's easy to get out of sight of what's right. The bible says nothing about separation. It's harder to do right when other people are pulling you down. You run to God, but then you are apart from your wife??? that makes ZERO sense to me.
GO GET HER. FIGHT for your marriage and all that is. She wants YOU to try. YOU not trying means she's turning off. I don't mean to lay on this on you, but as the spiritual leader of your home, she's waiting on you.
LOVE IS NOT A FEELING, IT"S A CHOICE. She waiting on YOU.

I'm sorry but your pastor and wife, said IF you much separate. This wasn't validation of your choice, you had already made up your mind.

Go get her, Pray very hard for a hedge of protection around her. Beg God to put your marriage back together. He can and will. Stop living in the emotional/feeling world. Stop listening to the enemy that is lying to you. Your fighting satan, NOT your wife. She will come around. PRAY without ceasing.

And you know what?? even if it's not all your fault, surrendering to your pride about all this is a huge start. I'm just sharing because I've been there. I'm so very thankful my husband fought for me.
