Hi and Welcome!

This is a common thing in the second marriage or even a relationship. My past 2 relationships ended because of the jealousy. I will definitely pray for you. I do want you and your husband to talk to a counselor. This jealousy needs to be addressed and an even ground needs to be found. Jealousy in any form can tear relationships up. A counselor will help him understand that it is not necessary to be jealous of a child. That this child came from your womb and you are above all his mother and his guiding force. Your husband needs to understand that you love him very much and there is no need for the jealousy, that you want him to be apart of your sons life a great Christian male role model. And he needs to understand at times your son will have priority over him, as this is your sons time with you. Your husband has to share you with your son. When your son is grown and gone, then it is all his time. The JEALOUS SELFISHNESS he is showing you will cause issues. A counselor will help him to understand his place in your life and your sons life. Many blessings to you and your marriage!

Perhaps the jealousy is legitimate? You don't say the age of the child, nor how often you engage with the father because of the son. Jealousy itself is not necessarily BAD. God is jealous. I would encourage you to prayerfully consider the cause and what you could do regarding corrective conduct.

Even the natural father can have that problem; many husbands do. I broke up with three different men because they talked like my kids were part of the deal but in the end they wished my kids were not around. They just wanted me. I will know I have met the man God has for me when he can honestly accept my children.

I agree, counseling would be a great idea. This will make many problems all the way around in the marriage if it is not dealt with soon.

Sassy, feel so good to know I am not alone on the men having issues with my kids.
