What do you do, when you are being tempted to do something bad, to sin?

I am normally able to realize that I am about to sin, then I just ask our Father not to lead me into temptation, and deliver me from the evil one. It works, but I am a human, and still sometimes I am unable to resist bad behavior or bad thoughts.

May be anyone can share some things you do when you are about to lose your tempter, or say something bad, something you do to feel at piece and redirect your thoughts.

If I'm about to say something I really shouldn't I count to ten, sometimes to twenty before saying anything. It often works but not always. Sometimes I just have to "push the delete button", i.e. ignore what the other person is saying and move on. :) But I'm so far from perfect in this respect.
