Legion is a sick blasphemious movie. It would have been better if you would have putt a filtered preview of that movie if you were trying to prove a point. I used to have bad language and I don't care to be reminded of it.

Dont you all remember the Lion King and the circle of life and how we are all one and all that? You didnt know that Disney is based on anti-Christian propaganda?

This is not new. The same goes for Rainbow Brite and My Little Pony and the Smurfs. The companies that own them are all very deep into one world religion and we are all gods and all that.

I went and saw this yesterday with a friend of mine yesterday. Normally, i don't get into the whole "MOVIES ARE EVIL BLAH BLAH BLAH" hype, but this one really did give me the willies. There is heavy use of voodoo and hoodoo including a character named as the "Shadow Man" who sings a song about having "friends on the other side". To be quite honest, I woud never take a child to see this. Me and my friend, who is a 22 year old woman in the military, were both like, wow...that was actually a little bit scary. She was going to buy the movie for her 2 or 3 year old nephew but decided against it because it was so scary and sinister in parts.

Anyway, if you have children, you may want to watch this movie yourself to make sure the content isn't too strong for your child. I never thought a disney cartoon would make me want to get up and leave in the middle of it, but this one left a really bad taste in my mouth and a heaviness in my heart that I can't explain.

God bless!!
Hollywood doesn't have a line anymore. It's about getting tickets sold and unfortunately we live in a society where the parents have a need to be entertained. This often leaves a string of inappropriate remarks and content that we THINK are going over our litte one's heads...we know that's not true. The G rating that was in place when I was a child is clearly not the same today.....

Well, I've never entered into the whole "bad language" fad myself and it does say "Legion movie preview" at the top of the clip. You don't have to click the play button. Besides, walk out onto a busy street and you will hear "bad language." I guess that reminds you every time. :)

It is completely the opposite of what Scripture says and the sad thing is, a lot of "Christians" love the movie.

Talking about concern over Disney movies, there is far more corrupt themes present in television cartoons like "The Simpsons" then I think we'd ever find in a Disney movie. Sadly, The Simpsons is presented as children's programming on television, and the burger restaurants even have Simpson's toys from time to time.

Family Guy... That show is despicable and outrageous, yet even many children watch that. If I could pick one TV show that shouldn't be on TV, that'd be the one.

Anyway, my point is... the assault on children's minds comes from every avenue, and parents must endeavor continually to protect their kids from all forms of media.

yeah, this is true QuestionTime. Unfortunately we can't be sheltered from everything, nor can we shelter our children from everything. We have to teach them the ability to know what is acceptable and what is unacceptable. They need to know that while DIsney style magic can be cute and fun, in REAL LIFE, witchcraft is not something God wants us to dabble in. It's all about teaching our children to shelter THEIR OWN mind.

Here's another question I've always wondered...why is it, with Disney movies, that one parent is always missing from the family equation?

theres a new cartoon on one of the channels called "Jimmy Two Shoes".

first couple times i saw it, it looked pretty innocent. but once i started to realize what was in it, i was kinda disturbed. first off look the red guys, ring any bells? the little red guys name is lucien, ring any more bells? and the innocent looking little girls is a pyshicopathic scientist. also the setting of this cartoon is misery ville. and all of this is so obvious even to a young kid it seems to be oblivious to the average person. just like almost every other cartoon out there its covered up by silly childish comedy. just thought id post :)

In all of these movies, humans triumph over evil. Humans find a power within themselves to overcome. Narnia might be different - I don't know - but the typical movie does not give room for God to triumph, men always do.

In all movies where men fight against demons or satan, the hero always triumphs with his gun at his side. God has no part in the movie whatsoever. The reality is that no man can lick satan with a gun, only God can defeat evil.

I agree i don't thin Disney has anything to do with that. Narnia was a Christian novel the lion represents Jesus. I did not know this until one of my friends told me. In the movies like Snow white Cinderella then yeah i can see where you are coming from because there is a witch it in it but the witch in Narnia was representing Satan. As for some of the shows like Hannah Montana Suite Life on Deck, i don't think they are bad now wizards of Waverly place creeps me out more than it usual too.

Okay back on topic here to the movie we were talking about, i don't know how we got off to the Disney channel even just watching the previews for the Princess and the Frog kinda creeped me out because she said something about breaking a spell

This is just my opinion though. God bless you all

I think its probably more Disney is giving people what they want to see, not necessarily an evil conspiracy * shrugs* but hey could be mayb the big wheels sit back with their feet on their desks wonderin how to make christiians angry or plant satanic thoughts into our childrens minds* sarcasm*
i totally agree most of it is garbage but its a multibillion dollar comapny; howd it get that way? people, yes even christians supporting it by purchasing these items , buying the tickets, etc. I tend to lean more towards .Its all about the money. But that just me :)

If any of you remembers "Disney's The Hunch Back of Notre Dame", there were some disturbing scenes in that movie too...I had to explain to my then 6 year old daughter why the old man was "dreaming" of that "Esmerelda-dancing- n-the-fire" scene...why would they show an old man feeling lust for a young girl half his age? I wish big movie companies would show more discretion when creating movies and shows for our children...

i agree, that movie in my opinion is not a childrens movie.... i went to see it when i was 7 and we had to leave because i was too scared about the attempted infinticide at the begining.... i recently tried again to watch it and i cannot believe they would market that to children. if walt disney were alive today and saw what he created has become. he would cry

I'm curious what the opinion is of the New Orleans SPIN the new version has on the Original Princess and the Frog story... New Orleans is mixed with Voodoo, as is other regions in the south (i.e. Haiti, Jamaica, etc.) ... I've heard people protest the voodoo spin... It's about the message to our children....

Maybe it freaked me out because Voodoo is a real religion. I mean, it's simply fantasy for a "witch" who can throw fire balls to turn into a dragon and make an entire town fall asleep. But voodoo is a real religion, a real way of life, and a really scary form of witchcraft. The fact that the movie even specified that it was evil spirits from the other side helping out, and that they used magic relying on taking blood was extra scary. I think it just hit too close to reality for it to be acceptable. You can tell your children that genies are a myth, you can tell your children that there areno such thing as evil sorceresses who can turn into dragons, that there are no such thing as happy little fairies, that it's make believe. But how do you explain to your child that voodoo is a very real thing, that people actually hurt other people with it, and that it's an evil course of life and then let them watch a movie where it is both shown, and in parts, glorified? (the 'good' voodoo lady)
