Remember the story of the Christian Bakery that was fined roughly $160,000.00 to the gay couple who purposely attacked the couple, knowing very well they were Christian foundation, and after sued them for all of their business belongings?
- How would you handle it, and how could you do it differently?
(Pray for the couple, and ask the Lord to recompense what was giving to them, giving back 7 fold.)
I was pondering this, and wondering how would I handle it differently. Well, I came to the conclusion that, these people will never understand spiritual discerning, and even if you try to tell them, you're not "discriminating" they will never believe it. Through their eyes, they see things in a carnal mindset, and can never see the spiritual aspect of it. Because they have a heart of stone, and not a heart of flesh.
Remember the story in the Bible that says, when a man ask for money, loan it to him? And if he doesn't pay it back, forgive him, and don't look back?
What about the story when a pharisee or a tax collector tried to tempt and break Jesus by saying, "Do you pay taxes to Caesar?" Obviously this man, was trying to set Christ up to go to jail. How did Christ respond to this situation? He basically said, "What belongs to Caesar give to him, and what belongs to God, give to God."
Instead of denying the service, because obviously Bible says, if a solider ask you to carry his bags 1 mile, you carry it to 2 miles. I would suggest you go ahead and bake the cake. But, make sure the message isn't what they ask for. Make sure that message of icing on the cake is a Biblical verse that says, "What God put together (Man and Woman) let no man put asunder." There will be no discrimination act these fleshly and carnal thinkers can hold against you. They will try, but you baked the cake. But your message is clear, man and woman. If the couple ask to change the message, say, no, your beliefs are held valued. And if they insist, make sure to tell them, "You will be gladly to bake them the cake, but you will not put a sculpted wax of same sex marriage." And the message will be on their cake, "Man and Woman."
If they don't like your service, politely tell them, they can always go next door. If they accuse you of not giving fair services, the answer is, you do. Anyone who ask to go against your beliefs, you will likely do the same, and you won't deny them service to bake the cake, but you won't be sending messages against your faith.
