I have questions about Church families.

So I've been going to this local Baptist Church for almost 2 decades now. It keeps on making "Daughter Churches" and make fellowship with "Sister Churches" too. I did not mind when I was still single but now that I have daughters, am I supposed to send my daughter to our daughter Church? And it is so complicated because if I send one of my daughters to my Church's daughter Church, which one of my 3 Daughter's should go to the "Sister Church" since they are sisters? Where does that leave me and my son?

There is also a conspiracy on this. I think, the reason why we call it "Sister Church" is that they aren't ran by Baptist, but by Catholic Sisters (or Nuns). Does that mean that my Church is Run by the Mother Nun (like Mother Theresa), hence it is called "Mother Church"?

What's the meaning of all these?

Are you trolling? This has to be trolling. A sister church merely means that there's a family-type partnership between two different churches (usually in different states or countries). Maybe there's also a sharing of resources and pastors etc. You have to be trolling.

: fire burning : mostly just smoldering

SOMEONE ONCE SAID....
...SILENCE IS GOLDEN...

: sadly : wishing people would pay attention
but it wasn't written down
: read :
James 1:19
19.) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

Wyclif's Bible, 1382 also includes the thought - "Silence is maad in heuen". [made in Heaven]

As ever, may God bless you and yours

I have questions about Church families.

i WISH TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE.

A mother church is the supporting church whereas the daughter church is the church being supported. In my experience, they normally are from the same denominations. Iam not sure whether this exists between inter-denominational.

A mother-daughter church relationship exists when the mother church congregation became too huge and the mother church's infra-structure could not accommodate increasing numbers in congregation. So, the solution is to plant another church-daughter church and the congregation is given the choice to attend which church, mother or daughter.
