Is it okay to attend more than one church? I attend my home Church on Sunday mornings, but a different church on Sunday and Wednesday nights. The reason I am asking is because I know the importance of attending my home Church on Sunday mornings, but my pastor also helps out at the church his wife grew up in on Sunday nights. Most of the members of my home Church attend this church on Sunday nights too im guessing because my pastor helps there. Do I also need to attend this church too because I need to be supportive of my pastor and his wife?

Nope. :) You can if you want to, but you don't have to. Now, unless God is telling you to "go to one and not the other" or "go to both", then do what He says. But if you don't feel Him leading you one way or the other, then whatever you want to do is fine. :)

You are free to do as you wish, but my view is that the local church is our "family" or "home". Now, with this parallel in mind, just think what kind of a close family anyone of us would have if we as children went from house to house on the block to be fed by other kids' parents? Our first priority is to our church family, where we give and where we are fed and also where we are in ministry to each other, and from where we receive love, care, correction and companionship. It is very hard to make a deep and abiding commitment to our family when we move around from family to family.

I would go so far as to say that the other church is your church, then...wouldn't you? Perhaps a decision needs to be made? Either way, where you give and tithe and serve is where your spiritual home and family really is.

While tithing is not a new covenant doctrine submitting to a body of believers is, so I'd say commit some place that feeds you spiritually and stay there. Having said that I do think its okay to visit other fellowships on occasion especially in reaching out in a ministry capacity

just my 2¢
