Where would you like to be right now if you could?

If you could be anywhere in the world right now where would you like to be and why?

Right now I'd like to be on the shores of Jamaica or somewhere really hot, Spain or something.

But it's night time, there's a raging storm and the waves are crashing against the beach, the wind is howling and the rain is pouring down and I'm on the beach screaming I AM HERE LORD!!!

Don't sometimes you just want that white water rushing feeling and just want to climb to the top of the highest mountain and scream out to God LORD, I AM HERE! DO YOUR WILL WITH ME LORD!! ?

Sometimes, I do. Other times I'd just like to be on holiday chilling on a sun lounger drinking cocktails but hey, who doesn't?

But that would be after the storm.

Oh in a perfect world.

I would like to be in southern Philippines where my in laws live.

I would be on the New Heaven and New Earth, hanging with the rest of the Body and worshipping God in a myriad of ways. Barring that option, I would be going on a Middle-earth tour in New Zealand or visiting the Grand Canyon or the Herge Museum in Brussels, Belgium. Or zipping 5 months into the future and checking out the recreated Ark in Kentucky.

I'd like to be right where I am, but I want the circumstances different. I want my husband on the sofa across from me and the two of us are deciding what to watch on TV. Better yet, he's letting me know the latest in what's happening in the world and we're solving the world's problems together.

As far as a lifestyle, I'd love to be retired with enough income to not have to rob Peter to pay Paul, have a house with a swimming pool and pool table. If it was a trip, Israel for at least a month. But most of all I want to go Home, see my Lord and enjoy where I will live forever.

During my sojourn here I want to be in the center of Gods perfect will for my life. I only wish that were on a sunny warm beach but I'm in snow and freezing cold. The Lord is good and there are souls here to witness to and Gods blessing abound. Still there should be a soul somewhere on a nice warm sunny beach that I could witness to you would think. Not that I can complain about Gods goodness.

Wherever I'm needed... Its not so much where you want to go or be, its the trip that makes our life. "Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content" (Philippians 4:11). Perhaps happiness is between our ears, not so much where we're at? If your miserable where your at, odds are you'll be miserable where your going

If you're aim is to retire, then don't get the swimming pool unless you can afford to get someone else to take care of it. Dad had a swimming pool. Every day I spent an hour cleaning it before jumping in it.

Lesson learned: Never get a swimming pool. lol
