This question is poorly worded because I am against "capital punishment" but I am for abortion.

So you are against executing those worthy of death, and in favor of killing innocent babies who are not worthy of death.

Are you consistent with your philosophy? Do you want to put victims of child molestation in jail and let child molesters go free, too?

Who are you to decide some are "worthy of death"? Human genetic material forming into a would-be human? Yes, I support that if that is what the mother supports, and I don't consider that a "baby" either.

I am consistent, but you produced a false argument and false comparison. No, I wouldn't put victims in jail, but I would let child molesters go free if they completed proper rehabilitation treatment and were deemed safe. If not, then it's unfortunate but I guess I'd keep them in jail since we need to keep our kids protected from people like that. And I'd also support euthanasia to life-in-prison inmates as an option if they chose it. I see nothing wrong with this philosophy, honestly.

You should look at some 3-D ultrasounds. It's pretty foolish that a baby in the womb isn't legally protected and isn't considered human. 10 minutes later, that baby is outside and the law protects her. Why shouldn't the mother have the right to kill the baby after she's out of the womb if mommy so chooses?

As far as what is worthy of death and whether babies in the womb are alive, I am a Christian and the Bible has things to say about these issues. God has revealed certain things that relate to these topics. You are also treating yourself as someone who has the authority to determine when a baby is allowed to be killed.

Simple question: Are you for or against capital punishment? Does capital punishment reflect the old covenant or the new covenant?

Secondary question: If taking an innocent man's life is murder, what punishment do you give the state that executes an innocent man that would have been exonerated if he was still alive? Is the state consider to be "murderers"?
My view is that the Mosaic law was the best way of dealing with a carnal, non-spiritual nation so I am for capital punishment in regards to violent crimes such as murder, rape and crimes against children such as pedophilia, child pornography, and sex trafficking etcetera.

I think fear of serious punishment does have a positive effect on the level of crime in a society, and that is why crime is so rampant today.

Give them adequate time to meet their maker, and execute them. Don't keep them alive for decades on the taxpayers' dollar.

If I did one of the above crimes, would I want anything less than the punishment I specified. NO. I would plead guilty and demand to be put to death.

I believe abortion is murder, but there is one case in which I agree with killing the unborn- and that is if a human was breaded with an animal. If it absolutely came down to the mothers life or the unborn baby, the mother should live. She might have other children who need her, and she already established relationships with others who could be devastated by her death. I'm not saying she is more important, only about the circumstances. The bible says better yet are those who have not been born and have not seen the evil that is done under the sun.

We will never change the minds of people who don't believe in God about abortion, but we need to focus on the Christians who believe in this. Just ask a Christian if it's the women's choice, did Virgin Mary have that choice? If they it was gods, tell them that they say it's the woman's choice and the father has no rights. That's what they say when we men want to save they're child.

Mary had no reason whatsoever to have an abortion. She KNEW she literally was having a miracle child.. :) And sometimes, it's the MEN who want the women to have an abortion..

Was it her choice though. And those men are wrong also. Was God wrong when giving me the blessings of my children? I knew you before you were born. Jesus loves the little children. All the little children of the world. Red and yellow black and white, unless they're not born then it's the woman's right. I don't think Jesus would agree with this.

I think this is a difficult question, all I know if someone hurt one of my kids, every breath there murderer takes after that day is egregious. Good question though.

the understanding of what is Innocent and what is murder needs to be defined.

Murder : is the shedding of innocent blood
Killing is taking a life but that is also done when you eat food, pick fruit, and defend your home
Capital punishment is what ? it is :

The carrying out of punishment for a wrong doing or Crime. So it is not murder because the person who is being killed should be guilty. That is why the punishment is being carried out.

All we have to do is call capital punishment state sponsored euthanasia and all is good. Joking aside.....i think it is terms that have you all twisted up inside. Kinda like that orwelian newspeak. I remember when I was a kid, I said the word abortion in front of my mom. I remember getting slapped down for saying it. It was a bad word.....and frankly still is......but people throw it around like were talking about popsicles and ice cream.
