Sounds good. Please fwd to every woman in the world....:)

2 Corinthians 5:16-21New International Version (NIV)

16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view.
So we Can we agree that women are trying to conform to a worldly point of view and in doing so are leading us into temptation?

Thanks,

A
No, I cannot agree with your statement because you're contradicting the truth.

James 1:114 - But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.

LOL me either.... I just wear black. :)

Ahh... yes... attitude... the "you know you want this" females...

ugh...
Can't say I've ever had that problem (the "you know you want this" females) lol.

I was moreso meaning like their rebellious attitude. Like for example, women choosing their job over their husband, sneaking around, the unending list of problems caused by social media and the cell phones, etc.

Then the other set of problems is the sleeping around indeed, and the remarriage problems, though I suppose that set of problems is one for both genders in the West.

You read some the other topics in this forum and you'll see it real quick.

I get what you're trying to say AuntieAnt, we as men have to rebuke lust and live for God and treat women as fellow sisters in Christ. But this isn't a "porn" thread..... were just talking about how the burka is actually a good thing that they practice because it actually works...this is not condoning islam just pointing out some concepts that they use that are good at "subduing" temptation/flesh from the male perspective....

I don't care how "holy" a christian or muslim man may say they are they still have sin....one can even sin in their thought life...I guarantee even with the burka muslim men will still struggle its just a part of being a man....no that does not condone watching porn, fornication etc...as an excuse of being a man, we are to kill our flesh (crucify it daily) and live for God guarding our senses/gates.... but no man can be 100% all the time mr.pure it's not possible due to our sinful unregenerate flesh...which wars against the Holy Spirit living in our soul...we can only do that when we get our new bodies in heaven where sinful flesh does not exist so no more temptation....the best we can do on Earth is to like grass trim it down (our fleshly desires) to the lowest possible with the help of God and ask the Holy spirit for self control - the greatest spiritual gift in my opinion because it allows us to please God and override our flesh/sin nature....

Look I'm not suggesting president Trump takes executive action on "moral dress" ...

ALL I'm saying is that before long they will just have pasties on... and still have the "what are you looking at" attitude...

Here you go....

No you got it... the black tents women wear.... I never felt tempted....:/

In the US I literally have to walk with my head down ...

Sad...:(
I feel sorry for the women in the Middle East that are forced to dress that way. They're not doing it by choice, that is for sure. Women there are second-class citizens.

I used to think that. You might be surprised to find out that actually they do want to dress like that and that they have a very how we shall say, low opinion of women that do not.

I know it sounds outrageous, but it's a mad mad world.

Yea it's like a moral dress code and those who don't dress like them are considered "loose" women....that's what I've heard from muslim women I've talked to....

First, in no way do I condone the Islamic faith! It's disgusting to me (literally). I don't care if they are the good ones or the bad ones..wrong is wrong.

But having spent time in the middle east one thing that struck me as "throw back" yet effective ... anyone care to guess?????????

:)

Hmmmmmmmmmm.... let's recap.

In your opening title you proclaim that "Muslims may have it right", therefore publicly contradicting Jesus Christ who in His Word in John 14:6 says that only He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Then you go on to publicly humiliate those of the Islamic faith by saying it's disgusting to you... "literally". And yet you approve of their religious law of women having to completely cover themselves to keep you from lusting after them.

And on top of that, you anticipate and find humor in stirring up women's emotions and inciting a heated debate at their expense. Did I state those facts correctly? Did I miss anything?

Oh yes, I did. I forgot that I offered you God's Word on it to help you because I thought you might be sincerely seeking help. But I just read how you scoffed and wanted me to forward it to the women instead.

My bad. :(

To be fair, the OP title says "WHERE" muslims MAY just have it right
It's not condoning the entire religion of Islam, but one point. Similarly, we can make a similar argument saying things like..... there is one point where Roman Catholics or JW or Mormons or SDA or Buddhists have it right. It doesn't make them correct in any way shape or form, nor does it show us agreeing with every point of their false religions.
The goading of women however, is not a good thing.

OH MY..!!

So I should apologize for stating the obvious? I think not. I stand by ALL I have said. As you stated, we should look at women with the eyes of Jesus...

Yet, did Jesus deal with 3/4 naked women - perhaps they were at the well in yoga pants ? Were naked women doing every sinful act, available to them with the click of a button? Doesn't seem to be the case! Even PETA is using naked women to promote their agenda... it's insanity.

Do YOU believe he would have rebuked these women or not? Shall we turn to the Bible? Seems women's adornments were clearly addressed. AGAIN, is leading someone into temptation a sin or not????

What you fail to understand is how BIG a problem this is or men. Unlike women, we are mainly visual (hence 99% of porn is geared towards us) - so tear me down if you want but these are REAL issues Christian men deal with on a daily basis.

They are raised to believe that way as a child. They are beaten and worse if they don't.

That's what you'd think, but it's not because of that. The actual reason is they believe they are superior.

Like I said I know it sounds outrageous, especially for us in the West, but it's a mad mad world.

Mark 9:47
And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,

The problem here is that you are blaming women. If someone mentions that perhaps you should also learn self control you have this 'yeah yeah yeah i know whatever' attitude. The Real truth is that, with the majority of women, the burden is on YOU. Because the majority of women are not Christians, and therefore, will clearly not be abiding by a modest viewpoint. They are not held to the same standards as Christian women.
And concerning the Christian woman, if her manner of dress is too tight, too revealing, etc... she does hold a Level of responsibility, but that doesn't mean you get to blame her while you're off the hook. Or state that the right thing to do is force women to wear sheets so you don't have to practice self control.
As the above scripture states, much of the burden falls on the one being tempted.

And before you go on a rant about me not understanding, i am a man. I know what the problem is and how difficult it is. But i also recognize that it is not for me to point the finger at others. We live in a hyper-sexualized world. That's not going to change. It is our responsibility to renew our minds. Because non-Christian women are not going to change, nor should they be expected to, to suit your lack of self discipline.

Ahh... the live and let live attitude...as the world fades away...

Okay, you make some great points. I don't remember saying I was a victim of these women; simply that the manner of dress is getting out of hand. Also, if it wasn't thrown in my face every second of the day, I would have a softer stance.

I practice a great deal of self control sir. I never said they were causing me to sin. In fact, all it does is cause more contempt for them. Also, I am well aware the BURDEN is on me, that's why I deal with it with great help from the Holy Spirit. Should I then rejoice in the fact that I have to fight this battle? Doubtful.

While you are correct - 85% of them are not Christian (I attend a Christian church, so don't even try it on the remaining 15%) - you make it seem it's my responsibility to ignore what's going on and just practice self control. Not the case sir. I have young boys that don't need this non-sense.

My candle's light will not be hidden...:)
