I went to court to get an extension on an emergency order of protection and I was in turn, served with divorce papers. It feels more than a little unjust that he gets to just stop paying everything, not offer any help thru his attorney and I'm left to care for our two small children without help. I know this sounds a little bitter and I'm not a bitter person. I guess I just need to vent a little.

sorry to hear about your struggle. Not easy, to be sure. Life happens. Nobody can see ahead, but take it from me, the hurt does go away. You will find that you have more strength than you know, and God will provide for you in ways you couldn't have perceived. Sometimes it's only when we feel trapped that "freedom" comes. God does not trap his people; he sets them free. He will now become your husband; the one you depend on to care for you, support you, uphold you and love you. Unlike any man, He will not disappoint you. Under every wife, mother and woman, there is the person that God created. You will find her now. Enjoy your new journey.

please feel free to email me at [email protected]. I've been through it............twice. I know about God's mercy and grace. though He does not approve of divorce by any means, it still happens to Christians. There are consequenses and we must own up to those. But he continues to minister to us, and uses EVERYTHING to build us up to where we need to be. There is nothing He doesn't use to make us over into the image of His son. And all things, regardless of what they are, work for the good of those who are called according to His purpose. Tell me your story.

Every state has laws concerning support for children, he can't just cut away from his responsibilities. I would reach out to a womens advocacy group for legal help...I pray The Lord keep you and watch over you and those precious babies

Numbers 6:24-26“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”

You can't be bitter yet. Bitter takes a long time. You do have a good anger going for you. Let it out. (Don't throw chairs across the room, because they break knickknacks. Experience talking.
)

And then get back to God and your life. Do what you have to do, but remember when you've got to get moving, (because your kids keep you sane), turn to God.
