Thank you Lord for another day of life. I ask you bless us all with our day tomorrow and that we may feel your over whelming strength in our lives. Lord please protect us all from evil and bless us with your presence in the days that follow so that we may go on to fill your will for us Amen.

Sometimes I feel like all I'm trying to do is get through the day. To pass the time. And I don't know why. I have a loving family, a good job, and live in relative safety as compared to the rest of the world (and as compared to much of history). Yet I feel empty and unsure, especially at night. I sometimes wonder what to do. Feel restless. I think I need to spend more time with God's Word. I used to read it everyday. But its been a year! I need to look deep inside and figure out why I have stopped. I'm just venting. My apologies.

I am an enigma. Intellectually I believe God is at the center of all things. And I believe with my heart and soul, as well as with my rational faculties that have spent years reasoning things out. Yet with all that said, I honestly awaken each day frightened as to what the day will bring, even though I know God will walk with me if I walk with him. Trouble is, evil and temptation lurk everywhere too. And its easy to succumb to, and to not do God's work (which I know I need to do to truly make his Word come alive in my life and in others). But yet, I press on. I pray for the strength to continue to do so, and that all others will have the strength to do so too.

David only you can bring the fire alive inside you that you need to burn brighter. I think you know what you need to do it is a matter of doing it and sticking with it that you are struggling with. Try not looking for trouble it will have a harder time to finding you. Try not to read in to things so much you loose touch with the true matter at hand.

thanks Jennifer. Insightful thoughts, especially about "not reading into things so much you lose touch w/the true matter at hand." that's something I do way more than I should, in all facets of my life.

I often do that myself I have to remind myself that things are not as bad as they really are, or that things are worse then they really are. We tend to through blinders on when it comes to our daily lives so sometimes talking to someone on the outside of the picture may shine light on things in a new way. I find that now I pray for god to help me understand my fears or to walk with me with my fears.

I'm still new here so I may not be quoting correctly but "Lord please protect us all from evil and bless us with your presence in the days that follow so that we may go on to fill your will for us Amen." <-- Amen to that!!
