This world is a mess that is only getting worse. If this is not a sign of then end of times we are in for a long horrible ride. There is a fear now you can not even go to the grocery store with out fearing some maniac is going to beat you down because of the color of your skin. This is not the world I thought i would be spending my adult years in. When i was a teenager the biggest worry was if your clothes were in style. Teens now are killing themselves because of relentless bullying. Adults are killing each other because of the job they do or the color of their skin. I am so glad I have God on my side.

It's scary even with God but you just do what you have to do, scared or not. God is our future, not this world or the people in it.

It was happening when you were a teenager too,but God protected you from seeing it.

People used to be lynched, tarred and feather for daring to drink from the wrong water fountain.

However God doesn't want us to fear. He wants us to walk in faith that even if the mobs of this world decide to stone is to death, He is still with us and we have a place with Him in our eternal homes. They may be able to destroy these temporal bodies but they can never touch our eternal souls.

It also helped that we didn't have cellphones to record everything and cameras watching.

We do have the Lord on our side and therefore, there is nothing to worry about.

These worries might subside with a concealed carry permit. Its nice to have God on our side, but a Beretta has helped me alleviate some of the anxiety that comes from living in a wacky world.

Morning Jenniferand2,

Yeah, it makes you wonder how the Amil's can continue to defend their position that we are currently living in the millennial period, huh? If we were, Jesus would be ruling with a rod of iron and we with him and there would be complete peace.

Complete peace doesn't come until the New Heaven and Earth is established after the destruction of the Old.
As spoken of in Revelation 22.

True, but I am looking forward to the resurrection to receive that immortal and glorified body and go back to the Father's house with the Lord, which takes place a little over a thousand year prior to the new heaven and earth coming into existence.

I live in Philly. I shop in Philly. Every variation of skin color has shopped in the same stores I shop. No one walks out, beats each other up, stabs each other, or shoots each other. (Occasional dirty looks for perceived rudeness, but isn't that true everywhere anymore?) I actually joke around with other shoppers, and only get laughter when I do.

I worked across the street from THE heroin dealers in Philly and there were gunfights every other week. The worse thing that has happened was a gang of kids stoned my car because they thought I was the boss of the only employer in the neighborhood. My boss replaced the window. It's 20 years later. The car still work. (I think I may have the only car with dents on all sides, including hood, top, and top of trunk -- boot, if you speak BrE.)

So while everyone is worried about what if, I've lived with it since 1991, and don't. Seriously! STOP WATCHING THE NEWS! All it does is fill minds with terror for no particular reason other than it sells products. And so many are falling for it! If you can't figure out the purpose for information, don't read the information! (Which is what that article is about.)

Scary that the Christians think the answer is guns when, if you continue to live your life, you soon learn, THERE WASN'T EVEN A QUESTION TO BE ANSWERED!!!

S'alright. I wonder how you spend your life wrapped up so tight in a maybe. You're entire theology is based on perceived correctness in eschatology, and I'm a nonmil, not interested in wasting my life on what the future holds with a distinct maybeness about it.

Hello Depleted,

All I can say is, I know what scripture has to say about this subject and the promise is not "maybe." I know the truth regarding end-time events because God lead me to study this from the beginning when he first called me and the Holy Spirit revealed these truths to me, just as scripture said he would:

"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."

I'm not talking off the cuff of my sleeve when I proclaim these things, but it has come from years of study of which I continue to share with anyone who will listen. I'm sorry if you do not believe in it, but I cannot have faith for you. I don't know why you would think of the word of God as being a "Maybe" when God cannot lie. I pray that the Holy Spirit will confirm the truth in you regarding these things so that you can have hope in these promises also.

My faith is in God not my understanding of End Times. That's the difference.

My faith is in God not my understanding of End Times. That's the difference.
My faith is also in Christ who gave His life for me and who told us to watch for his return to gather us. In order to do that we need to know what His word says regarding His coming to gather the church. You have to ask yourself the question, why did God put all of this information in His word regarding end-time events, except He wanted us to read it? The book of Revelation, which is all about end-time events begins with a special blessing:

"Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near."

Ii also has a curse for those who change the words of this book, either written or orally:

"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll."

I'm not saying that we are saved by knowing end-time events, but God surely wants us to read His word and understand it. Jesus tells us to be us watching for His return, anticipating His appearing. How can you watch if you don't know what to look for or are just not concerned about it?

Regarding His appearing Peter said, "as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming."

Regarding His appearing to gather us Paul said, "comfort one another with these words."

As a believer in Christ, you should be excited about what is going on in the world, because we can see the stage being set for the time of that antichrist, which would mean that our being gathered to Christ is closer than ever before.

Paul also called the Lord's appearing to gather us as "the blessed hope."

If anyone is not interested in His appearing nor watching for Him or their attitude is, "whenever He comes, He comes," how can it be a blessed hope for them? They're not looking forward to His appearing or trusting in His promise to gather His church.

In speaking to the church of Sardis and all believers who overcome the Lord says:

"Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

Regarding our being gathered to the Lord, Paul also said:

"But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief."

Regarding his appearing, the Lord said the following:

"Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth. Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

I hope that the Lord will get you excited about His appearing to gather you and all believers according to His promise. All true believer should be looking forward to His appearing and speeding His coming.

Sure it's pretty rough out there in the world but I believe it was a lot worse in the really old days. People just did not hear about what was happening as much because there was no media, cell phones, etc. but it still happened and people were just as ugly as they are today or even uglier back then with how they treated people and such.

I shake my head and wonder how the world does it without God. It can be tough enough with him. I have to have a long talk with Adam and Eve when I get to heaven. Although I doubt I will even care when I get there.

Everyone who says stop watching the news is correct. I have even turned my Facebook feed into a pretty neutral zone, by UN liking some news pages and hiding some people who are negative and doom and gloom all the time. Not that I've stopped caring about them and I do check their pages now and then, but I don't want to see it all the time. I want to focus on what God would like me to do while I'm here and if I need to know something I'll find out about it.

FENNER,

apparently Jesus is leading you to understand that He wants you to become
separate and apart from this wicked world...
