I ask everyone, right now to join me in claiming healing for my mom. She is in ICU with symptoms of high sugar, high blood pressure, possible stroke and/or heart attack. They do't know for sure, but when I called the ICU nurse I could her my mom in the background repeating over and over NO-NO-NO-. It ripped my heart out knowing that I am in Texas and she is in Arkansas and I can't console her. I prayed with my sister and claimed healing over her, but my flesh is really acting up.

Psalms, please do not pull old threads forward. You responded to someone who left here long ago, and like LaurenTM said, this thread is 6 years old. There are more than enough threads on the first page of any forum for you to post on, without having to pull old threads forward..

Psalms you are more than welcome to pray for those that request whether they're still physically here or not, all prayer is welcomed by God.
No one told him not to pray. Just pointed out that he brought up an old thread. And I see he's done that to a few others as well. Nothing wrong in pointing that out to someone.

But if Lauren had taken a moment to see this is a new user then perhaps she could made a more useful, less scolding comment. How about explaining to him to check the dates on posts and how to instead of getting exasperated and talking down to someone who likely has no idea?
That Blue felt a need to act the same way after someone else already said something comes as no surprise.

I've seen comments from YOU, Ugly, that have been even more "scolding" than what Lauren and I said, in relation to zombie threads.. Pot, meet kettle.

Also anyone with two eyes and a brain, SHOULD be able to figure out that if a member is listed as "guest" or "banned", then obviously they shouldn't reply to those/that person/people, or even pull the thread forward. They should just start a new one. Better than putting up with a page or two of zombie threads, wouldn't you say?

I'm going to save egg shells to walk on in case you read one of my posts....:p

my comment wasn't in the least scolding

your comment is actually pretty condescending to three posters...

Keep up the replies psalms, awesome job.

I use my senses to know that all constructive replies are useful, whether the op is present or not, is totally secondary. All prayers are heard by the Lord and cc forums are available to a larger audience online. As such any subject matter can be of positive consequence to members and non members alike and if seen by one person as worth it, can be rightfully kept alive. From whatever post they've seen, they can learn so many things from them, take a lot away and bring Christ to people's lives from whichever post is on the fore.

I've also contacted the owner and a mod about this and they have confirmed that it is permissible:

If we were all to go by the notion of replying exclusively to current threads, I along with everybody else would be wasting my time with garbage where threads have to often get shut down because they're so destructive.
Or to name another example of what I saw a few months ago, only reply to current posts where on the homepage of "latests posts" the question on the table was whether people pick their nose and eat the contents. Conversely, this was a productive thread, with a fantastic response, that irrespective of dates, can reach God and many other people in a positive, inspirational way.

permissable?

well of course otherwise they would no longer be here

adviseable? well not always

when the ONLY posts brought up are always over 5 years old by a poster, one wonders if they are not possibly stuck in a time warp!

so much to pray for if one desires to do so...that is why we have a PRAYER FORUM! up to the minute and current...with many folks looking for all the prayers available

of course, when one may possibly just wish to create a discourse of friction? well...there is always paleontology of the threads

We may never know the outcome of Wootie's Mom, but I can guarantee she is NOT still in the ICU. My husband has one of the longer records for a stay in the ICU and he was there for only 76 days. This is six and a half years later.

Dates and times are irrelevant. If you want to share something in Christ you are more than welcome to. Here's my prayer for the lady in the op subject matter.

Lord please bring health and healing to this woman, give your respite, energy and restoration both spiritual and physical so this woman can be with her family. Give her family comfort and peace in this time of need. In Jesus Name I pray Amen.
