Hello everyone. I haven't been on this forum for a few months, for a few reasons. The main one is, on July 20, 2016 I was riding my motorcycle 45-50 mph through an intersection when a man decided to turn left in front of me. My bike hit his car on the right front tire, causing me to flip over the bike, landing on his windshield and flying onto the pavement. As I was lying there and people were running to me, the first thing I thought of was to call on Jesus.
Laying there, I felt no pain, and I knew in my heart that I would be ok, no matter how it turned out. I had to be life flighted to a hospital as my blood pressure was 80/40. My pelvis was shattered causing internal bleeding, a compound fracture in my right leg, broken right ankle, and all the metatarsal bones in my right foot were broken. Plus bleeding in my head from a concussion.
I had to have 3 pints of blood before I got on the helicopter, and 4 more after that. I was in ICU for a day and a half, and then I was stable enough to move to a regular room. I was there for 7 days and was moved to a rehab place and was there for 8 days. August 6 I was able to go home.
I've gone from a hospital bed to my bed at home, and from a wheelchair to an air cast boot and a walker.
I'm writing this to remind people that no matter what is going on in our life, Jesus is still in control and always will be. He became my Lord and Savior in May of 2012, and I haven't regretted it yet. He is proving to me how faithful and loving He is in this, and people around me are seeing it too.
The doctors and others are amazed at the progress being made, and I owe it all to Jesus. To Him I give the glory.
It's not up to me to know why this happened to me, but it IS up to me to trust God in this, and what He has in store for me.
I think of the Book of Job, and everything he went through, not once turning from God. In the days we are living in there will be more persecution, God never promised that we would have an easy life. So how I want to leave off here, is to remind everyone that no matter what is going on, we can trust and rely on Jesus, and what He's doing.
God Bless!!
