My wife suggested we attend a swingers club to spice up out sex lives. She said we would just be there to observe. I don't know much about these places and I'm not sure I want to. Should I keep an open mind about this?

If faith is not maintain exclusively in Christ and His Finished Work, i.e., The Cross, i.e., The BLOOD of Jesus, the works of the flesh will manifest. Let me repeat what I said on previous threads;

Paul tells us this in the 5th Chapter of Galatians. The entire Book of Galatians, but especially the 5th Chapter, is a warning from Paul to the Church at Galatia, which is also meant for us. The warning is that if they place their faith in anything except “Christ and Him Crucified,” that “Christ shall profit you nothing” (Gal. 5:2).

The Apostle goes on to say that if the Believer doesn’t adhere to the Way of the Spirit, which is the Way of the Cross, then works of the flesh will manifest themselves. He said:

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God” (Gal. 5:19-21).

Now let me say it again, because it is so very important:
If the Believer doesn’t understand the Cross of Christ, as it regards Sanctification, then, in some way, one or more of these “works of the flesh” are going to manifest themselves in his life. As stated, such is inevitable! The first four, “Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, and lasciviousness,” are obvious and easily understood. But the modern Christian quickly dismisses “idolatry, witchcraft, and heresies,” thinking they do not really apply today.

No. Swingers are. People that share their spouses. It's just adultery. And people aren't there to 'just watch'. If your wife wants to go she is more than likely hoping for something else to happen.
Sometimes this is exchanging spouses in separate rooms. Sometimes one spouse sits and watches the other spouse cheat. And in some cases it's a 4-some. Or who knows. The entire place could turn into an orgy.
Would you or your wife go to a crack house 'just to watch'? People don't go to crack houses to watch. They go to buy crack.
People go to bars to drink. Clubs for sex, drugs and alcohol. Prostitutes for sexual gratification. I could go on but you get the picture. People don't go places to watch sin. They go to indulge in it.
Makes me wonder what else your wife is currently into. There's a high probability she is either talking to someone who is feeding this idea to her, or watching porn.
And if you don't give her approval to cheat, how likely is it she will just drop it? Not likely. There is a greater chance of her going behind your back.
She probably thinks it sounds exciting and fun, but anyone with a conscience will ruin their marriage in the long run.

Do you really believe that God would approve of such a place? You're not sure that you want to? Does that mean that you are actually considering such a thing? I think that you should consider the advice I gave in another thread of yours about the infidelities of your wife.

No, just never! What humanist tripe! If it feels good do it, maybe watching it first, then jumping in feet first. Are you a Christian? I have to wonder, that this is even on the table. Obviously your wife is not a Christian. You need to pray for her and share the gospel. Without that, your marriage is done! I thought maybe treatment for mental illness might help, now I see the problem is so much deeper.

You need to get some counseling. You are codependent and enabling her. You are as sick as her. You do not have to live like this, assuming you are not a troll, which we are beginning to wonder about!

Your stats say "Christian". So are you saying you have no idea what "swingers" are?! Because if you know what they are and are considering this neither you or your spouse are Christians, period.

I suggest you get a new wife lol

Sorry folks, I could be wrong but me smells something very fishy in this topic (pun intended)

What kind of a husband writes such tripe about his wife??

A troll, that's who.

Did you really expect a "yes" to that question? Your essentially asking if you should just skip watching pornographic video's and go watch it live instead.. Hmm, what would Jesus say? Sex was meant to be between a husband and wife and kept within the confines of their bedroom. I suspect your not Christian and are just here for 'shock' value, because no Christian would even need to ask that question? The simple answer is 'Close your mind".. When you open your heart to such things, your also opening the gate to the Lake of Fire.

No "open mind" needed. It's sexual immorality. Paul says we should flee from it. There is no gray area here.

Once a person (couple) starts on that slippery slope, they have no idea of where it can take them into sexual depravity and pornography and must remember.....you are then in Satan's territory as Jesus is the Light of the World and what does darkness have in common with the Light...so you decide.....

If I were involved with a man that requested that, then I would tell him goodbye. This question can't be serious.

If you believe your wife just wants to watch, I've got a bridge I want to sell you.

Its hard to believe that you dont know what a swinger is..
Sounds to me like your wife has sexual and mental issues and needs a doctor. You need to get your head straight and not let her get you to even try to do stuff like that... I dont know what more to say because Im a bit stunned right now.

Guy is either naïve or seriously confused and misguided on living a Christian life.
