Yeah. Marriage is a Choice and Commitment to another person. And that person also chooses you and commits to you. It will be impossible to have a healthy marriage if your spouse is second to anyone.
Ironically this exact topic was the subject on Dr Phil today. Unless you have a spouse/fiancé who is trying to isolate you or take you away from your family, then the family/parents are at fault. If your fiancé is happy to let you have a relationship and time with them, but feels he had to compete for it, then your family is likely being manipulative and controlling over you. The longer you let this go on the harder it will be to change. And it Will affect your relationship in the long run.
