It turns out that there is another very compelling reason to breast feed your baby rather than rely on formula. Breast milk is a super food that actually kills cancer cells.

What are your thoughts? Do you stay at home and breastfeed or rely on formula and go back to work as soon as possible?

I did some more research and it seems that there are many other studies that basically draw the same conclusion.

For instance, on the NRDC website they state:


Studies have demonstrated a number of important health benefits to breastfeeding. Among them:

  • Breast-fed children are more resistant to disease and infection early in life than formula-fed children
  • Breast-fed children are less likely to contract a number of diseases later in life, including juvenile diabetes, multiple sclerosis, heart disease, and cancer before the age of 15
  • Mothers who breastfeed are less likely to develop osteoporosis later in life, are able to lose weight gained during pregnancy more easily and have a lower risk of breast, uterine and ovarian cancer

I've known this for years.

Breast milk reduces the baby's chance of developing cancer and allergies, as well as reducing the mother's risk of breast cancer.

But you have to remember, for some women, regardless if they actually want to breastfeed or not, are unable to.

It's long been established that breast feeding is much healthier than a factory assembled alternative. So I think that is not debatable.

If I was married and a new mother then yes I would breast feed. However, if there happened to be an infection, since that does happen to women who breastfeed, then I would start bottle feeding.

Im not surprised since breastmilk is God's personal recipe for nursing babies :)

Apple seeds also kill cancer cells. So when you cut your apple, don't cut out the middle :) Something the WHO doesn't want you to know!
