I lied in church. I went to a revival last week and when the preacher was preaching he asked "who here feels like their prayers went through the ceiling today? People began to raise their hands. I also raised mine but i only raised because i thought if i didnt people would think i was unsaved because I was guest their. The reason i feel like I lied is because that particular day i was feeling very down and almost felt like maybe my prayers aint being heard. So i feel very guilty for lying. I know in my heart God hears my prayers no matter how i feel. What should I do?

Pray that Jesus forgives you, Repent and move on..thats the short version
Often when we are someone we feel pressured. Dont let yourself be pressured sis. It will not do you or anyone else any good.
Dont feel guilty. Guilt is a weapon of the enemy to distract us from grace.
You were most likely not the only one in the congregation who lifted the hand. Let God take this guilt and the sin from you and dont let it hold you back from seeking him. He loves you.
Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Your loved and accepted. We make mistakes. Dont let the enemy have a temporary victory. Let Christ have eternal victory.
Stand up wounded warrior :)

Confess and ask the lord for forgiveness for lying. God hears the prayers of the righteous. Continue to have faith & keep in mind God works on his time not according to ours. Also try not to worry what others think the only thing that truly matters is what God thinks about us.

You know often times, I feel more blessed when I thank God for prayers before they are answered. It's like claiming it before it happens in Christ's name. I feel this could be the same thing. You were feeling down, needing God to move for you, so you claimed it before it happened.

Now since you feel guilty, ask forgiveness of God, and tell God the entire situation (He's a big God with big shoulders). He will understand. Then start claiming your blessings before they appear. It's not lying to claim it. It's faith that God will take your prayers through the roof!!
Peace!

Acknowledge that you are likely one of many. Many Christians are known to fake or very dishonest at church due to appearances. Sad we have so many people feeling guilty or pressured to be dishonest in churches.

I think you're really doubting your salvation? B/c you're posting these guilty threads about sin but don't realize that all you have to do is confess it to God and He forgives you......your works/sinlessness won't get you into Heaven only Jesus will b/c He's living in your heart if you're a true Christian.....

I went through a phase like yours were I was micro-analyzing all my actions and it drove me crazy....until one day I realized my works/actions won't save me only Faith in Jesus will......I hope you become more sure of your salvation and realize that God loves you and forgives any sin you commit past, present or future as long as you CONFESS! :)

I don't understand exactly what you mean by "prayers went through the ceiling today," but if you think you did something wrong, tell the Lord you are sorry.

when the Holy Spirit convicts you of something and peace will not come, always remember that we
have our Intercessor=Jesus, sitting on the right hand of God and His sole purpose is to intercede for us
and ask His Holy Father to forgive you upon your confession and repentance...

I ask, what can we compare to this kind of un-earthly Love?

Trust in God's love, mercy and grace. he forgives you and heard you even if you feel down. Pray and ask Him for courage to be truthful...if they are truly lead by the Holy spirit they won't judge and condemn you, but pray, encourage and uplift you. Reminding you that God truly loves and heard you because you are His beloved child.

Those who fail are unworthy of love and deserve to be blamed and condemned. This is a false belief that results to the fear of punishment and punishing others. But through Christ's sacrifice we are free from this false belief. We are deeply loved by God and His wrath was already satisfied by Jesus' death on the cross.

Nothing to feel guilty about. Sometimes we go along with the crowd just so we don't appear obstinate, or we may be trying to be a good example. Everyone has wondered if their prayers are being heard from time to time, especially when the answer to our prayers is often "No". Raising your hand demonstrated faith, even though you were having doubts on that particular day. I personally think God appreciates a person who regardless of some doubt, they persevere and do the right thing anyway. "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us" (1 John 5:14)
