I speak the way i do because i am not one to sugarcoat things, and like i said some people enjoy the struggle of life and like where they are. What you need to do is renew your mind to Ephesians 4.22-24 "You were taught to put off your former way of life, your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23to be renewed in the spirit of your minds;
4and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.".. the more you do this, the faster you will change. You are a new creation in Christ and you have to let go of that old mindset, and pick up your new one.
1 Corinthians 3:16 "Do you not know that you yourselves are God's temple, and that God's Spirit dwells in you?"
... you have it all already, you just need to walk in it, and yea i see the other posts before me.. If you take this one seriously, this will be a game changer for you.
I sort of understand your point. But it tends to still rely on thought alone and no activity or use of me other than giving to charity etc. There doesn't seem to be much for anyone to do outside of large towns and cities.

Jeremiah says "I have loved you with an everlasting love..." you are mine, I have weaved you in your mother's womb (Ps. 139)
You belong to Me. When you become a Christian, your identity is in Christ. However, the world says your identity is in what you do, who you know and what you have. These things come and go and when they go, we can get depressed or anxious. We need to live in our relationship with God as our first love and forgive others when they fail us and let pain prune us. We are in relationship with our Beloved, rest and yield to His love, wait on Him. Wait means "bind together by twisting" so there is action required, read His word, seek His face and you will no longer be bored, you will have a purpose and out of that will come the joy to serve Him. Remember: You are accepted (Jn l:12, Jn 15:15, Romans 5:1, Ephesians 1:5
You are secure: Romans 8:1-2; 28; 35-39 and finally you are significant: Mt. 5:13-14, Jn 15:16, Eph. 2:10, Phil. 4:13
Ammabev
That's simple in word. But I'm 33 nearly broke, living at home in a village town in wales. Still single, always, no signs of improvement, little to do, see, hear. Others must have similar issues but have something to do maybe? If I'm not used for any good, what's the point in me being a Christian except for myself.

maybe the trouble is the video games and rubbish need to go in the trash and you need to get a job that pays some money and get a place of your own. God will not give you a place of your own but he will give you strength to get a place of your own. Unless you are very very physically disabled there is no need for you not to work.. God will guide you but yu are in control of your life... sorry to be harsh but I feel no pitty for you if your are perfectly able to work a job and be active in life and choose not to... here is some scripture for you it is the bible verse of the day. maybe my harsg tone is what you need if you where mu kid i would be kicking your A** out the door to work...... 1 Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

1 John 2:15-17 - Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. (Read More...) in other words video games and television are just objects of man pu them away and do work
Maybe should learn to read. I said I work full-time days. But your obviously a loud mouth troller who doesn't.

p.s. your giftys are not playing video games and watching teli you will never find your gifts if you do not go out and try things.
Sorry, I gave the impression to you that's all I do. I do more but I was generalising about my position. I game and so on, when I'm bored of looking for the use of my gifts and find little or nothing.

ok hang on friend your original post made it sound like you did not work or do anything but sit around all day and watch rubbish while smoking and playing games. So do not get mad if people assumed that is all you do.. now that it is clear that you do work a job we are getting someplace. First number one try not to get angry when people respond you asked for advice. Two instead of video games which are expensive save the money and get you an apartment which is more important to you independence or playing call of duty? Second if your not busy with video games that frees up some time for you to interact with human beings who are kind and not full of bs and anger. Third if you are angry at your self and life situation i get that but God can only do so much you need to do the majority of the work he just gives you tools. fourth if your not busy with video games it will give you time to read scripture and reconnect with God if that is what you want. So i am sorry for my other posts as i assumed you did not work because your original post made it sound that way........ Now if you want more from your self and God video games are not the answer prayer and scripture and kind people are your answer...
Sorry, I didn't mention I worked earlier, not that it should matter in regard to the way you message. Also I game etc because there is little in a little welsh town full of happily unemployed drug smoking drunk steroid taking or woman hunting loud violent males. Or just others who stay indoors.

Nevermind, I might as well forget this page as it goes nowhere except circles arguing with little input other than think of others, see others, be around others, who aren't there.

Hi Dai, I was just wondering if you've told God about everything? Totally surrendering it all to Him.

He's the one who knows exactly where you're at in your mind, your
environment, your church etc.

No friends? How about fixing stuff around the house, painting, plumbing or vacuuming, dusting or laundry. Maybe cooking, baking?

Have you spoken to your pastor or friends at church about it? Have you reached out to anyone in your church to befriend them?

I don't know if you have malls there, but I walk in the mall for exercise. Are there boys/girls clubs you can volunteer at. Or big brothers/big sisters? There must be something your pastor could recommend you do. Maybe do some work in the grounds around the church or at home.

Put up a basketball hoop in your driveway and throw some baskets. By a bicycle and bike around. Do you have some type of community center that includes a gym? Or can you afford membership at a gym?

Also, there are good bible studies you can do online. The more God's word transforms your mind, the more victory you'll have over your boring life and the besetting sins you find yourself doing. I can recommend a great bible study online if you're interested.

Maybe you need to return to your first love? Remember the joy you had when you were first born-again? The zeal? The love? The desire for the things of God?

Your attitude about all this is really crappy, ya know that? People have given you advice, and you poo on each one. Why would visiting nursing homes or people in hospital get you arrested? That's silly. Go do something for your neighbors. Cut grass, plow their yards, whatever. And ask God to show you what your gifts are. I guarantee you'll never find them if you sit on your duff groaning at your extreme boredom.

Sorry if my attitude is crappy, but when I put a couple of sentences in any post, people keep assuming lots of things and basically say get off my backside and do things even though the things they say to do are not available. I shouldn't have to write my life story every time I post just to get people to answer sensibly.

And about being arrested. You get arrested as you will not have permission because they are not your relatives etc. Even grandparents playing with grandchildren in a park have had police called on them thinking their a peodo. That's Britain. A craphole of nonsense. And I'm at work now, so not going to volunteer or go to church. Everyone here keeps telling people they should think of others but don't recognise the world the other person lives in, Assuming they are in a similar society life position, eg, an easy going American Christian neighbourhood. That's not the case for most people. But people assume from their deluded bubbles anyway. That's why so many people are shocked by BREXIT or trump. They live in limited delusional worlds of enclosed lives. But still tell everyone their right.

Hmmm.. Okay, so obviously things are different in your country than they are here in the U.S. And to be fair, your OP did make it sound like all you do is lay around and smoke and play games. Anyhoo, do you have any other hobbies you enjoy? Maybe like gardening, or working on vehicles, photography, etc?

At the moment god let me cut up and spray a guitar etc. But I have done lots of things like that. But only for myself as there is no1 around. It something to do for a few weeks but I can't keep building stuff, I live at home. I'll probably try practising a bit of guitar if it works afterwards. But no1s listening except me and God. I'm no singer or guitarist.

Typically the guitar spraying turned out ugly. Will have to see if it puts me off playing it when it's lacquered in a few months.
