Well,family is the foundation of a functional society without Godly families society can't function ,one of the reasons that the world is falling apart is family values are not being taught thus practiced.
I don't know about the whole world but from what I've seen of it when the children are going down the wrong path the parents kick them out instead of helping guide the down the right path.
When the parents get elderly and need the childrens help those children stick them in a home and forget about them.
This is standard operating procedure in today's world and one more reason for God to end it .

I am not old enough to know but I think when a lot of generation x was young. parents and the church had lost a lot of respect from the younger community. Now a days according mine and my churches FaceBook page a lot of young men and women are really into the word at least in the 13-18 18-25 & 25-34. and then the 65 and older also. I don't see a lot of middle age people even visiting my page and my churches page at all. I am not pointing fingers but I don't see why. I know celebrities and TV and drugs had nasty effect on the church. but somewhat I believe was the church for not accepting young people at the time.
But It was not everyone but in my opinion it was mainly tv and the celebrities of the time, setting a bad example for children in those days.

Many overlook this bible verse. It meant a lot to me though as I was brought
up in foster care.
