I changed my mind.
I can't say nothing.
I see her getting ready and how important it is to her.
You're right. Too late not to go this year, but sometime between now and next year do talk to your wife.

Hubby doesn't like my dad either, so I don't make him go when I visit.

How would you all like to sit with a 70 year old women who uses the F word day and night and won't stop for nothing for the next 4 days?
And that's the easy part of the visit.
I liked my Aunt Katy. I miss her. lol

Your a Christian. I am assuming at some point you said you wanted to be as Christ like as possible. Your just gonna have to lug that cross around for the week they are here.
But I am not saying it is easy...
JESUS, MARY, AND JOSEPH, did you just say you were coming buy to carry my cross for me?
God bless you.

I empathize with the anxiety you deal with. Before you guys head out grab your wife's hand and say a prayer for patience, tolerance, mercy, safe travels and a good time. Stay positive, maybe it won't be so bad.

Ear buds...just cuz you are there doesn't mean you have to listen.

Maybe stay at a hotel or camp out in the backyard?

I know someone women don't like traveling alone....So the whole "send your wife alone" option might cause her anxiety...

Perhaps a compromise?

You help her get to her parents, but you can go see the city or visit other friends instead of spend a lot of time with them?

Public library, museums, parks are free and probably a better option then sitting in a house with folks who pollute the air with profanity,

Well I did pray for you. And if you ever need a place to hide out when they come you can come by me. That's the best I can do brother.

Congratulation's Allen. You've made it through to the home stretch. The ordeal is almost over.

(You are still making, right? Didn't go off and die, right? lol)

I often consider things like this as "going to the dentist." I hate having to go. I hate going through everything they do to me. BUT I get to leave eventually and get back to the life I much prefer. So, if I have a 10 AM dentist appointment, I look forward to 1 PM, when it's over.

Me to have problems with my in laws. For the sake of my marriage, for the love of my wife, I still go to visit them and have meals together but I just don't get close to them. I will just simply answer whatever they asked, ttry this out.

That sounds like my mum, normally in every sentence. Just what we she was exposed to as a youngster.

Yes I am. Although the absence of a smiley face makes me wonder if your not pleased to see me.

I'm not stalking you or AllenW, honest. The judge did say that I wasn't allowed to come within 5 miles of you both, but given that you live in Italy and Allen lives in his plush mansion in Florida and I live in England then I'm not breaking my restraining order.
