The lord never says he wants you to be rich and have no problems. Why do people pay billions for him to tell him that? While they walk past the guy in downtown preaching truth for free. The guy who has nothing cause he gave all he had to the lord. I am sorry but.... I dont think me talking is going to do any good.
The only way I can explain it is you can just see through things when you learn how to see and the whole worlds divided by this. I cant explain why nobody likes the tv preachers to somebody that doesnt already see it. Its just a aura of darkness, no other way to really explain the way people see it. Its those who believe that kind of stuff that I really cant understand.
Hatred blocks one's sight of spiritual things.

he preaches this kind of stuff everyday and people love to hear it but none of it has anything to do with the bible or goodness at all. its all about self serving.

Actually anybody who knows anything about 'satanic' practices knows this is the foundations of the mindstate that he teaches. To create your own reality like you are your own diety.

AND LOOK AT HIS FACE! If you trust a face like that stay out of the streets and away from casinos cause you dont have a chance. If you cant call that a liars face you dont know what one looks like. Seriously.
You are really hurting.
I wish I could reach out and help you.
Maybe it's best right now for you to go away and do something else.
If this is all satanic to you, then you really don't want to fill yourself up with it, do you?

I just google earthed it.... you are not kidding LOL Some of the images even have the gardeners trimming the shrubs.. lol Point taken...
I don't personally like to listen to Joel. I like deeper preaching. But, I firmly believe God has him where He wants him... and that he reaches a certain segment of the population God sent him to reach.......... the ones some here are convinced we should scream at and tell them they are going to Hell because God loves them so much.

I have no doubt that many of them grow beyond the very light stuff Joel teaches. And that may well be just exactly the way God intended for those people to come to him. Larry King, in that video almost all the haters love to post, almost sounds like a hissing snake to me, the way he is working so hard to get Joel to say the condemning things he wants to hear Joel say.

And these fools applaud King for baiting and trying to trap him. This is no more than the Scribes and Pharisees also tried to do to Jesus. (Joel is in good company when people hate him the same way those old guys hated Jesus.)

All i ever heard him say is "oh yes the lord wants to make you rich the lord wants to bless you as soon as you donate to me" 10 of 10 sermons same thing.

honestly i think all tv preachers are satanic and those who watch them dont know the spirit of the lord. this might sound harsh but my breed are kicked around here all the time and i figure its time your kind hear some truth. we see it clear behind his screw face and crooked smile. His church is COVERED with pagan symbols too. He even admitted that he runs a business and the product is the lord and he only tells people what they want to hear, he said this on tv. Do you think people who make billions and donate nothing go to heaven?
Infusion,
I hate to burst your bubble, but running a Church is a business.
Running a Church the size of his, is a BIG BUSINESS.
They bring in tens of millions of dollars a year.
Do you think it's not a business?
And God is the product.
Could you think of a better product?

Osteen was honest. When his father passed away, he admitted
that he didn't feel up to taking over. He realized what a JOB it would be.
Instead he fit in very well and so does his wife. It's not easy to find a team
that works that well together. Most don't. She really knows how to give a good message.

Did you know that at seminary they teach you how to speak in an interesting way, how to
project your voice, etc. just like Actors. It doesn't work for everybody, but they do try.

Take me. If preaching the Word depended on me, we'd be in a bad way. I thank God for
people like Osteen, Swaggart, Prince. They give a good message - everyone needs a different
message.

I don't think we should put preachers down. We should be edifying each other for the work of God.
He pulls in millions of viewers. It can't be doing harm to listen to him.

Osteen comes out of the Word of Faith movement so he's going to be tending to go in that direction.

However, we cannot deny that God would want the best for us. It's just that in this world we're not Always
going to get the best.

However, it is true, that you get what you see. If you could Envision a good family life, as a wife - let's say -, chances
are that you will be able to create what you see in your mind's eye. This is a proven fact.

If you see yourself as a loser, then you will tend to become a loser.
I believe this is what Osteen means. He's trying to get people to see the best of themselves.

I think a lot of it comes down to expectations and perceptions.

People did not accept Jesus because they expected a rich, powerful and aggressive leader... a Warrior King.

Today, people have gotten the idea that a preacher has to be poor. And, come Hell or high water, they just will not accept anyone who is better off financially, than they are. Some, very seriously place stringently "religious" limits on what their own preacher can possess and do. I have even heard people gossip about a preacher and his wife actually having the "flagrant audacity" to have a pool in their backyard.

**** you're saying things you may regret later----- you live in Houston---- some of the things you're saying could be false---- sometimes we hang with people that disagree with other preachers and it can get out of hand----maybe step back and take a breath....Grace and Peace

88 I do live by him and I can see the backdoor from my house. I live in the Weslayan on Westpark and 59. I can send a google location from my iphone and post it on imgur right now. I have said this many times in chat back when there was a big shooting here. I have no reason to lie about somebody I dont care about. I dont agree or disagree with any preachers as I am not even christian. But I do know alot more about pagan beliefs than anybody I met on here yet and I do have reason to warn people. If you would like to discuss these ways and symbols and things he says, I would be glad to explain it to you. I have seen things that are not christian but they are not that bad, its not like they murder people in the back alley, just not at all the same guy in the picture. None of them are the same that should be expected. I wont regret saying any of this. And I have no reason to make things up to bash him cause he did that to himself on the things we posted on the first page like saying we dont need Jesus and theres another way. If you cant see that as something wrong then.. just wow. But you are right and you should not believe anybody on the net til you know them.

FranC What you just said has absolutely nothing to do with the anti christian things osteen says. I dont envision him anyway, I am just relaying his message. If you think its ok then thats your choice to believe in that. But its pretty clear Christ is not the focus when hes telling people to turn to other ways and the lord wants you to be rich and you can create reality and all these other satanic teachings.

Allen how am I hurting because I dont agree with Osteen? On the first post you did not agree with him either. lol what are you talking about bro?
And yes it is very satanic. If you like i can teach you all about it. For starters Satanists dont use the word Satanic. Unless they are 12 and hang out in the mall all day wearing black makeup.

Not attacking this guy. But he claims to also live on Del Monte Drive...... and if you know anything about Houston, I don't have to say a word more.
If_I_prove_you_wrong_right_now_what_would_that_make_you?
I will send you a message right now if you want with my skype or hangouts contact so I cant send you a location right now if that will make you realize what you are saying and stop acting like such a jerk.
And I never said I lived by him, I said my step dad does. I live by his church but still about a mile from his house. Also they say he used to live in sugar land and he lived by him then too if thats true, doesnt matter tho. And like I said before both are decent neighborhoods. I am not poor either so you cant say I am judging him for that can you? But I give ALL my income to charity and I agree with Jesus that I can not see people making billions a year going to heaven because theres too many hungry people in the world. So like you say "you dont have to say one more word".
I show you you wrong where I live, We show you blasphemy from osteen. Jesus say its wrong to horde money and hes on a whole nother level. I think instead of getting angry you should just deal with the truth as it comes.

The services may be uplifting, but he's a heretic. So, no, I won't be watching, ever, no matter what my situation.

Joel Osteen is an exhorter. That is his ministry. There are people that need to know that God is good and loves them. They need that "exhortation" to get out of the distresses that are attacking their minds.

He has a different function in the body of Christ then a pastor.

Take a look at this video that shows exactly what is really being said by Joel. We really need to be very careful in the things we allow others to say about those in the body of Christ that speak differently then we do.

This video really shows the distortion and "twists" that come by the way some view what is being said by others..

Heresy is any belief or theory that is strongly at variance with established beliefs or customs. A heretic is a proponent of such claims or beliefs.[SUP][1][/SUP] Heresy is distinct from both apostasy, which is the explicit renunciation of one's religion, principles or cause,[SUP][2][/SUP] and blasphemy, which is an impious utterance or action concerning God or sacred things.[SUP][3][/SUP]
The term is usually used to refer to violations of important religious teachings, but is used also of views strongly opposed to any generally accepted ideas.[SUP][4][/SUP] It is used in particular in reference to Christianity, Judaism, and Islam.[SUP][5]

after reading around the forums, I'm pretty sure it's run over with heretics and I might be one [/SUP]:(

and hello to everyone

You're not hurting?
It seems to be very important for you to put down the leader of the largest Christian church in America and you claim you are not Christian.
It seems your battle is against Christians and Christianity and you are using words the best way you can to tell us all how horrible Joel Osteen is and how horrible his church is.
How does this affect you?
It obviously hurts you in some way that people in this world like Joel Osteen and like Lakewood church and you don't.
You claim they are so bad but you don't even go there or get involved first hand with what they do there.
How do you know it's so bad?
By what you see on a Larry King you tube video?
If you're so close to his church, why don't you go there to a Sunday morning service and see first hand what goes on.
And Joel says he's always available after the service to shake hands with newcomers and say hello..
Then you can see for yourself if he's really the big bad ogre you make him out to be.

Many people don't like Joel Osteen and will argue about him until the day they die.
That's too bad for them.
Joel Osteen is on TV for 25 minutes every week.
But one can view "live" the Sunday morning Lakewood Church service in it's entirety every week with 2 Sunday morning live services that will replay if you miss the time.
And they generally last around 1 1/2 hours.

This church has excellent praise and worship music, mixed with altar calls and guest speakers, and finishes with what is usually a 45 minute sermon by Joel and then a big altar call at the finish, not like the one you see on his 25 minute show.

So yes, I say don't watch Joel Osteen anymore.
If you don't have a home church or are just home on any given Sunday morning, then watch the Lakewood Church service
and see why many believe the Spirit of God moves in this church and see the real reason why he has close to 50,000 members.

That's Lakewoodchurch.com
I might try watching that. Thanks
