Hi again,
I am so depressed over my decision where I sent my daughter to high school.
There are 2 high schools I could pick from. My 2 older kids went to one that was great. Teachers were professional, lots of school spirit, coaches that encouraged team spirit etc etc. Now my 3rd children I just had her go to the other school because most of her close friends come from good christian families and they are very good friends. However, the school is lousy. Teachers dont seem as good. Right now I am so upset because I paid 325 dollars to the swim program at the high school and they didnt even get the athletes their swim suits or spirit wear shirts or anything in time for the first meet.
It is so embarrassing for them to go to a meet and not have any team spirit. In addition tho this, the coaches and boosters member do not have team dinners for the kids.
All they do is send out emails every week about fundraisers and more fundraisers but absolutely nothing for the kids. No team building parties etc. No events for the kids. Alot of kids didnt come back this year because it was no fun. I thought I would try again this year and its still bad. I tried to volunteer but there is a click of women that are not friendly. My daughter was bummed she didn't get her gear in time. I don't know what to do. My daughter doesn't want to talk about it. I love to help, donate and volunteer but when I see the kids don't get anything I am distrub. Do I just pull her out or do I wait and not have her do it next year? I need peace over this. I just want great experiences for my daughter.

I'm so sorry you are going through this - we only ever want the best for our kids but some things are simply trial and error. You did what you thought best at the time. If it were me I'd pull her out ASAP, you made the wrong choice albeit in good faith but sometimes we just have to admit we made a mistake and correct it ASAP.

God bless you and your family sis.

Should I pull her out of the school or you mean the swim program there??
I did make a mistake and I tried so hard to do what is best for my kids. If I pull her out of the high school I am wondering if that would make it worse . She would have to change schools and make new friends

Tell your daughter that you are considering pulling her out of the school and wait for her reaction...if she doesn't say much about it then it seems she will go along with that decision. If however she kicks up a fuss then ask her if she would consider you doing it at the end of the school year. You mentioned some kids have already been pulled out, maybe this includes a friend or two? Ask her if she would be happier in another school. I suggest you include your daughter in any decision but express your concerns with the consequences of staying put....Incidentally kids make friend easily in comparison to adults so try not to worry too much.

I did ask her about 5 months ago and she said no she didnt want to change schools. But she says no to everything.
I agree they do make friends easier. She seems to make friends wherever she goes but is always afraid when she has to go somewhere new
The parents pulled them out of the swim program not the school. I just am so upset. I dont know if Im over reacting. I dont know what to do. I am just embarrassed today to go to the meet and they dont even have school team colors and then they ask for money

Don't be embarrassed it's not your fault. I suggest you follow suit with your daughter and pull her out of the swim program also but yeah also discuss the other things I mentioned. Do keep us informed of your decision, we are with you sis. :)

Thank you Amazing Grace. I will keep you posted.
I am researching a charter Art school for her in the area. She loves Art! It's hard to get into this school but its worth a try.
thanks again-

Sounds perfect...

Don't forget to pray about this, include God and ask Him to direct you in your decisions and then listen to Him.

Why are you asking strangers? Why not ask her what she wants? And, to be clear, the choice is which school next year, because you really don't want to put her in a new school this late in the year. I don't care how upset she is today. First, she has made friends at this school. Second, if she were transferred now, she'd be hard-pressed to pass her final exams at the end of the school year because she's missed close to 3/4ths of the subject material.

Why are you bringing this whole subject up again?

When everyone here went thorough this exact same thing with you months ago, didn't anything get settled?
