I often question how the Lord works between couples. Does He give them strength to work out problems? Does He comfort them in times of need?

My boyfriend of 6 years is a non-believer. I am just starting to get back on track with my relationship with the Lord. I wonder how this can help our partnership. Can I convince him to try? I'm not entirely sure...

***be sure he doesn't pull you into sin or the relationship would be bad----if he is serious about giving the Lord his life or at least moving in that direction that would be good...

Study the Bible and find out. Lots of partnerships in it.

Well is this "partnership" a live in arrangement without the covenant of marriage? If so why should God work within the arrangement?

You may not be close to God but you surely know God blesses marriages not convenient partnerships between a man and a woman.

What does God have to say about being unequally yoked with unbelievers?

2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Are you asking God to bless an unholy relationship?

I believe the Lord works with individuals, but not as a couples counselor. Nothing wrong with praying for strength though. I don't think you can convince your boyfriend of anything, its an independent decision. Being a good example might intrigue his interest?

God works in our hearts and changes our relationship with everyone around us.

He makes us more patient, more willing to forgive, better able to listen and heal others hurts because we don't lash out in pain as much as we used to.

It is harder to be in a relationship with someone who doesn't listen and pray to God.

any 'partnership', if it is in God's Will, will begin to grow and nourish itself in His Will,
according to His Word...if it doesn't, then it is only about our 'own-will' and what we can
reap from it...
