I have some results here from x ray and then mri report

Upright views including flexion-extension demonstrate no abnormal soft tissue swelling, fracture or dislocation. Small osteophytic spurs are seen at multiple levels particularly C4-5 C5-6 and C6-7.

Physiologic motion is noted without instability during flexion and extension maneuvers.

IMPRESSION: Mild degenerative changes as noted above. Physiologic motion during flexion and extension positioning.

Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the care of this patient.

not to encouraging seeing how for some reason they cant pick up on the fact that C3 and C4 are very much so slipping in and out of place.. I can feel them move and her them rub and grind and crunch lol the problem is in a mri the pin you down so you cant move.. most of my slipping happens with movement and it does it about 80 percent to 90 percent of the time so it is touch and go if they will ever catch whats going on properly...

Get used to it. I sleep with a roll under my neck to keep everything in place at night. Still degenerates due to arthritis, cracks and nerve impingement is standard equipment. Condition is aggravated by neck positioning while working on a computer keyboard.

Aggressive treatment calls for steroid injections or surgery to reconstruct the deteriorated bones. Outcomes are mixed.

just a long, coming, learning, share with you Jen; 'essential-oils' can actually
save you from so much, mixed along with others, they can literally allow your to actually
have some peace and 'extremely-low-levels-of-pain', 'in certain instances'...
but of course the circumstances have to be in the right 'Godly-Led-Order'...

for myself and my hubby, here is a long, hard, ignored lesson we had to learn;, just one of many' =
(Peppermint-oil) can relieve 'real-PAIN almost instantaneously, along with Tree Tree Oil!
just 'two', among so many other God-given-cures:
here's the crux = your 'mind/body', along with your will to live for Jesus, must come First,
the number '1' priority!!! (broken & contrite spirit)!!! yeah, we know!!!
otherwise, what's the POINT'??!!?!? it's like you are brought to an awesome awareness, and then
you just have to ask yourself," really", what choice does any one who wants to accept the most
unbelievable Gift that they can conceive in their pea-brains,?? anybody hearing us???
our Heavenly Father, He just wants to Love us and just wants us to Love Him........

no novelist could EVER come near to writing the words to His Song...

How can we Not Love Him who suffered more that 'any', for 'our-sakes'???

but of course, our bodies somehow seem to crave today's 'quick-snake-oil-fixes, they do
'feel so good and give us sooooo many 'excuses' to do/have our own way!!!!!!

oh, that sounds awful!

the grinding and crunching is probably the bone spurs they saw, but ask your doc?

saying a prayer for you, Jennifer.

This is connected.

Hubby was ventilated for so long, he lost his ability to swallow. And then when he regained "swallow," what was swallowed went down the wrong tube. (Bronchial, instead of Esophagus.) AND, he couldn't feel it so didn't do what most people do -- hack up a lung trying to dispel it before it got past the diaphragm.

How did his speech therapist know this? They got an Xray machine that shows real time action in the neck.

So, how about getting your doctor to schedule some time on that machine so whoever can see what your bones do? I know I saw cervical bones in those tests. And the good news, is you sit in a chair when it's happening.

I'm thinking if they can get the bone-readers into the swallow-test suit
e, they can read what's happening. (I don't know most doctor words, so I translate into English. But medical people can translate English into medical words.)

There's a big difference between DDD when you're in your 60s and when you're in your 20's and 30s. This isn't new to Jennifer. Her back is falling apart decades before ours were. Imagine being where you are now when you were 40. Then imagine how much worse it would be for you now. Jen has the back of a 70-something and she's only in her 40s. She's been living with this since she was a young adult!

We were rear ended when I was 33 years old. My neck did a sideways flex, hit my chest, the shoulder being held back by the seat belt. I have never been the same. I see a chiropractor or physiotherapist, depending upon the sort of pain. I do a lot of stretches and weights.

I get that about movement, that is what happens to me. My xrays don't look so bad, just degenerative changes where the original whiplash was. And sometimes it feels pretty good. I go to bed, and I wake up the next morning and I am in agony. As if I need something else to hurt!

I'm quite convinced the stress from my whiplash underlies a lot of my physical problems, too. I spent a year in bed after the accident and the pain was unbearable. So, now, I just get on with my life. I do the weights, which work really well. The muscles keep the ripped tendons in place (No, you can't see soft tissues, like tendons and ligaments on an xray!). But since my RA meds failed, I have been almost unable to lift weights. Plus now, my shoulders are dislocating, and that makes the weights harder.

Anyway, have you been to see a physiotherapist? They are pretty good with figuring out what is wrong, and giving you some constructive ways to improve, like exercises, in spite of the things that are wrong. I hope you can get help. Neck pain is... well... a pain in the neck!

I will look into my problem is when my neck is not spasming like crazy the vertebrae are slipping out of place which then causes more spasms and I am stuck in a viscious circle of spasms and slipping... the biggest thing is when " c2 slips out of place I am bed ridden with a massive spinal headache.. it slips into my spinal colum and pushes on my spinal cord and the pressure is unbearable. It lasts some times for a few days.. but I see the Pa tomorrow and will see what they say. The big opinion will matter is what the surgeon says both I made a mistake I don't see him until May 4TH SO I have no choice but to pray and wait.
