*Ahem, Traysir* :)

•nothing changed in 34 years,
•never been treated equally until about 22,
•been to college 4x with ruined journeys.
•couldn't get dr referred for 5years.
•had to give up all exercises/arthritis.
•disconnected rib, ankle ligaments torn, work poisoning, whiplash, broken eye socket, damaged ear from steel toe caps,

•broken toe not healed fully, damaged wrist same, shocks in chest muscles if exercising, grinded shoulder socket, Gilbert's liver syndrome so can't drink anymore, no friends as church people are old/families or children/well off etc, bleed from collapsed or dead capillaries sometimes.

•still living at home, still smoking, still dealing with all issues after "healing" though they haven't, in another hazardous job with no windows, dust, noise, no-security for mortgage, car just blew headgasket last month so new car with unknown warning light issue. I think that's it for now, though being Welsh with an English accent and that rubbish was before 22years etc. Probably more i can't remember until it bothers me again. Generally crud n no future it seems.
Dai,
I hope you don't feel threatened or attacked by my earlier request (below). That request allows you to list all your unfortunate circumstances and conditions. What are they? Feel free to list them. That's important, especially since you are always given a raw deal.
Allow me and others to be able to empathize with you. Please!

I hadn't seen your post. Missed it and so had to be kindly directed to it. My first impression: You definitely have good reason to feel the way you have expressed.

Anyone of us could take each incident and pain you experience and minimize it. Not to hurt, but an attempt to help. Not sure that would do much good.

I must, however, respond to "never been treated equally until about 22."

That is second from the top of the list. And the hurt you experienced and felt apparently still affects you. Rightly so. But not necessary. Never mind that.

I'm not suggesting that God is standing off and away from our lives, just a fan in the stands, but you have been dealt what appears to be a bad hand.

What will you do with it?

Let's say you begin to rely on God. Step out like a man of faith and give all your hurt and pain to Him. Let him hear your cry. Your sorrow.

One of the prayers that is bound to free you: forgiveness. Those who standout in your memory, the ones who really punched your heart. Let God have that anger.

I empathize with you. I feel terrible for you.

This may not seem like much, but I am going to go through your list and pray.

I will probably have more to write later.

Can you also supply a list of blessings.

I see several in the list, believe it or not.

I think it was Abe Lincoln who said: "Most people are about as happy as they have made up their minds to be."

Henry ford said these:

If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

Willie-T,
Good quote.

How might Dai be happy in his present condition?
Myself, I would be disappointed.

I could and would find reason to rejoice in the Lord.

But suppose someone is not at your level, doesn't have your strength. What then?
Some folks live in pain and suffering, close to as if it's all they know. What about that?

Not challenging you. Not looking for an argument.

At one time when I was about 47, I got disgusted when three young men I was paying couldn't move a 1,500 pound building on an asphalt parking lot. I leaned into it, and moved it three feet by myself. Why? How was I able to do that? Two reasons.

One. I had trained myself to be able to do such a thing over a period of many years. When I was 17, I probably couldn't have done it. At least not in one movement like that.

Two. I decided I was going to do it. And this second is where Dai is going to have to "repent", (change his mind) that this can be done...... IF he actually wants it to happen in his life.

Do you know that Jesus actually asked a man if he really WANTED to be healed.... AFTER the man had asked Him to heal him? That one small fact should tell us something.... That, lip-service means very little to God when He can see the desire isn't really in our hearts.

I hope Dai benefits from your words. Hope they help him and many others. Good stuff there.

I think I've missed the point in your point. You trained over time and are strong physically? I need to repent.

A little disconnected? Though do I want to be healed, yes. Do I deserve it, no. Is it in god's plan, only God knows. I can ask, but if it's not his will, no one recieves.

Willie's point is, you need to make up your mind that you CAN change your circumstances, and not stay stuck where you are now. IF you want your life to change, then you need to MAKE it change. And only God can give you the will and the strength to do that.

Quote "The preacher or healer isn't greater than the one who cleans the bathrooms in the church."

He was referring to me and my testimony. And yes,Ive cleaned bathrooms and done whatever else was needed in my home church. Cleaned a pastors home from top to bottom so he and his wife could have a night out. Talk about being rewarded. She had four kids under the age of five and was in tears when she came back to a sparkling home. You can do a lot of little things in life and be rewarded but that depends on what you consider a reward.

Quote"So what do you mean by every dream having a selfish connection no matter what. Also, the traveling preacher or healer or what ever can have selfish motives as well.

Yes,we can all have selfish moments in our lives,we're human. That doesn't mean everyone is entirely selfish or have wrong motivations.

Thanks, Kayla. I should have read all of the posting and maybe I would have figured that out. I didn't realize you were a traveling preacher. :) Wow, those tears must have been such a blessing to you!!!

Right you are - my only reason for mentioning that was to show him to not put anything above others or put a certain gifting on a pedestal. I didn't mean you at all or anyone in particular that may be that traveling preacher he meant. I thought maybe in England that traveling preachers was common because I don't think they are that common here anymore. But maybe I'm wrong.

And I also agree that while we may have a selfish moment, it doesn't mean that all of our motives are selfish. We do and can live a self less life because that's what Jesus has called us to and He has made us new creations that now look at how to serve others. Out of curiosity, where and when did you preach and travel and for how long?

I don't know what i would class as a blessing or a curse? Knowing how to solve problems with no power to use it is a bit pointless other than to be irritated by others failure i put up with /government's/companies/education/health. All are solved more easily than they are at present. With better results and less costs. But I'm a working class no one. Curse/blessings?
I forgave everyone but am still annoyed at my position. Even though God only forgives etc. I know it's just the way people are in their understanding that makes them stay in bubbles. The blessings of feelings, and being alive. That's mostly all i can think of except some reassurance from God every now and then. Though sometimes confusing in point.

Sorry, i was implying that my earlier 1st post of "Traveling preacher", seems to be the only sort of life to live in order to "be happy" and positive all the time, compared to the crud I've got. Not you in particular.

Hi Dai,

I had an MRI done today. I have a herniated disk that's causing sciatica. When I walk, it's creepy because I keep hearing a crunching noise that doesn't sound
normal.

So while I was having my MRI, I prayed for you. And I want to ask you a question.....have you been born again? Or do you just go to church and have since you were young.

Please don't take this in the wrong way, many people think they're a Christian because their parents are or because they go to church. I asked my brother one day when he became a Christian because I was sensing that he really didn't know the Lord. He said he was a Christian all of his life since he was born so I knew that he really didn't understand about having faith in the Lord and being born again.

All the time people are fooled into believing they have been born of the Spirit. I just felt like it's important to go back to square one since none of us know you and see if you even have the Spirit of God in your life that helps us with all the issues you're going through.

Every time we compare ourselves with others, we are saying to God that He gave us a miserable, horrible life compared with the next person. Something is blinding you or someone is blinding you from being able to see the beauty of your own life in Christ and the beauty of the new you in Christ.

We can live in the joy of the Lord even when life throws us a curve ball. It's supernatural. You seem to be living in the natural, trying to work out of the flesh and not out of the Spirit at work in you. This is why I ask if you've been born again. It seems that you're carrying all the weight of life on your own shoulders when Jesus has called you to yoke yourself with Him so that He can carry your load. He says to cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you.

So it seems like it might be time for you to either truly come to the Lord in faith, or if you already have, you need some time alone with God so that you can pour out your cares and concerns on Him and repent of trying to do all of this in your own strength. He has power for your life now, today, this very moment. Reach out to Him and receive that power that brings joy among sorrow. You don't feel like your life is worth a thing. But He says it's worth My Son's death to bring you joy and blessings into your life.

I pray and hope that you'll find the joy of the Lord. The scriptures say that the Joy of the Lord is our Strength. You have no strength because you have no joy. Reach out and receive it this very moment.

I'm glad you wrote this post, Rose. :)

Dai, this is what I've been trying to get you to do for others. Even in the midst of her own agony, Rose took time to pray for you, because she cares about you and wants to support you. :) This post of hers is exactly what you can post to others here.. You have the gift of typing, use it to support someone in need.

Rose, I'm glad you got an MRI done. :) I mean this very literally when I say, I feel your pain. Been there, went through it. Sheer agonizing hell is how I'd describe it.. lol

Well, I thought you could associate and combine both the gradual physical training (which I can tell you have neglected) and mental and spiritual training... which also comes in progressive increments.

Then, "Yes", you need to repent. It seems you never have..... about much of anything EXCEPT convincing yourself that you're hopeless. And, BTW 'repent' has nothing to do with feeling sorry for screwing something up. It means that you make a decision to want to change. And once that initial decision is made, that remains your goal unless you change your mind again, and decide you no longer want that goal.

Sinning does NOT mean you have decided you no longer want to follow Jesus.. It just means you are not learning it as well and as quickly as someone else might be doing.

I'm off to a Bible Class. Talk more later.
