I am not on facebook. Never was. My close friend asked me something about diet advice and to go on there and answer someone. So he told me his password and I did as he asked me.

So i thought, oh what the heck, I am on here, let me see what is going on with my errant family members.

Well, I knew one of my brothers was an atheist. But I was surprised to see my other brother is also for all intents and purposes one too. And to make matters worse, my two brothers and their wives are die hard / hard core liberals. One of the wives is staunchly anti God.

My brothers were never like this. One of then is even making speeches against anything conservative and is thinking of running for office.

One of them is part of a group called Resist45, which is bent on throwing Trump out of office.

Oh man.

And I pray for all them consistently, their salvation, but I did not know it was like this.

...I would hug you too, but...I don't want to prick you to death, so all I can say is at least you are not one of them. Good on you :)

(But, by all means, do continue to pray for them)

There is so much deception going on in the world! Someone said to me recently,
that it was all Trump's fault that the United States is so divided right now, and
I found that to be a completely ridiculous statement for a number of reasons,
because mankind has been dividing over one thing or another for millennia...

Anyways, I am sorry to hear this has upset you... and a good reminder
as to why Jesus said we must love Him more than our family members...

Until this election, Democrats were just an irritation to me. Honestly, it has only been this last year that I have realized how truly sick, spiteful, hateful, and treasonous they actually are.

The sad thing is that a lot of conservatives are being pulled down to that level as well :/

Wait. So your feelings at hurt because your brother has a different political affilation than you and is an Atheist? How about growing the **** up and learning that basic human understanding shows that people are going to have different opinion and different perspectives.

You misinterpreted my comments. And I am grown up, or mature, if that is what you mean.

My feelings are not hurt. I never stated that. I said I was upset. That's 2 different things.
They have different political views then me. I kind of shrug that off and do respect their right to choose what they think and how they process things.

The issue here is more what their views represent. Their "different opinions" and "different perspectives" are not innoccous here. That is the issue. If you had a little more insight you might see that.

Remember they are my siblings. I know them well.
One of them is an atheist, and the other is married to a woman that is an atheist.
Neither of them were liberals before. I am not sure, but it seems like they have switched their affiliation in the last 3, 4 years or so.

What saddens me and upsets me is that their liberal attitudes also reflect a anti God attitude.

Everyone else here seemed to grasp that concept, except you.

Joseph, he was a troll who came here to spread his anti-gay message, and preach that we should kill pedophiles. He even admitted to helping people in his own church kill one. :/ Not to mention all his posts contained profanity. But he's banned now, so good riddance..

I will pray for them the world is a pool of evil and many people are getting confused by their own agenda's but God said this would happen so we who believe just have to hang in there. The lost have to find their way or they will be lost forever. you can use facebook to spread the joy of the lord I do . I don't care if anyone does not like it. Just have faith in the fact that you walk with the Lord and you have all the glory in the End.

I'm confused here. How do you not know how your siblings change in four years? Don't you ever talk to each other? I admit that my siblings and I live so far apart we don't see or hear from each other all that often, but enough to know what changes have happened.

I was surprised when I learned my one brother went from atheist to agnostic. Doesn't change anything because he's not saved yet, but at least he got to there is a God.

I find it funny that another brother -- the ex-staunch liberal -- actually voted for Trump. I can see that though. He's gotten older, so less staunchly liberal, and it's not like Trump is conservative.

I'm also surprised he doesn't collect reptiles anymore, but, hey. Exactly how many women want to live in a house where a caiman, a boa and an iguana roam free with free-range rats to catch and eat the old fashioned way? He was smart and realized he didn't want to be old and alone, so he changed.

Still can't get over the two youngest don't understand conservatism at all. Not like Dad didn't influence them growing up too. Must be their Mom. I understand that, since our mom was liberal too.

But to not know how siblings have changed in four years? I simply don't get how this comes as such a surprise. People change. Even brothers and sisters. And it seems almost designed purpose that no matter how many siblings we have, God is bound and determined to show us the exact opposite of who we are. lol

have you forgotten Lynn,

how easy it is to be an 'out-cast' to 'family-friends-world', when you are called-out,
and you begin to Love and Serve Jesus according to His rules?

Actually, my family treats that the same way they treated my brother with his reptiles. They simply accept that's part of the weirdness that is distinctly me, (and hubby.) Sort of like a hiccup-belch at a gathering. The first time you hear it, it makes everyone turn their head to see what that was, but after about the tenth time they just go about their lives as if no one is hiccup-belching. lol

I also have a sibling who sees Christians as pretenders. All our growing up we saw my parents fight and argue. My parents are christians but their lives never really was christ like... presently she doesn't want anything to do with Jesus. I've been praying and at a point I just got tired and just stopped praying... More like God she is yours not mine!...But recently I came across Andrew Wommacks message on praying and I learn that I just have to keep breaking the power of Satan over my sibling and removing all blind folds that has kept her from knowing the love of God.
I'm still standing in faith on God's Word and knowing someday she will return to the truth.
I also believe that in time God's love will find your brothers and their wives.

Hi joe,

We grew up close, or so i thought=). But with distance and time, i sometimes wonder if my sibs even remember if i'm there at all. One who wrote me regularly while in college, now would hardly text a message for weeks. Another who i emailed regularly before, is probably so busy the past months, and hasnt done so for months too! In some ways i find they Are different after we get in touch again, but that is their life... and for those who have families, their spouses and children do take them in some different directions after a while. In some ways i am glad for them, but other times i am also upset and can only try to reach out again, esp. when the change is going far from the Lord. As others have said, keep on praying, and it is the Lord who will bless.
