I have noticed that some of the members have their ages shown on their profile and others do not.

Is there a special reason. This is the first site that I have seen where age is shown.

Just curious

Probably several reasons for this. It could be that this step was inadvertently omitted at the time the info for the profile was set up or omitted on purpose for privacy reasons. Except for the screen name and sex all of the settings on the profile can be edited at any time. Of course, it is helpful to list the age, marital status, along with the country and city of residence if a single member is interested in attracting someone for a prospective relationship.

I've been curious about the same thing. I think they used to show everybody's age. My only guess is that they don't show the age of new members who are below a certain age. It's only a guess.

I've seen members with age listed as young as 13.

My dad was 29 the entire time we were growing up. When my older brother was 15, he asked Dad how he became a father at 12. (Our oldest brother was 16 at the time.)

And then Dad turned 34, for the next decade. lol

I thought that for a while too, but I've seen people talk about their decades-old marriage, yet they don't have an age.

As you can tell, many of us are curious too. We simply aren't told why.

I like seeing the age of members. It gives me an idea of how I might need to phrase the things I say to make them understood to younger folks, or lets me know I can speak in my normal fashion to people older than me because they are much more likely to pick up what I'm laying down.

Yes, it's easier to talk to someone when you know how old they are.

Isn't it up to the individual to show their age? Or did they just remove that? If so it's probably just a effort at equality.

Without being called, "Cougar"? Um, no. ;)
At what age does a woman go from "Cougar" to "Turkey Buzzard"? Still likes the thrill of the hunt, but too old to take down game on her own.
