Is it my fault? I lost my job.

My name is Andrew. Today I lost my job. i worked for a charitable faith ministry trust. We worked with vulnerable families in my community. Broken people at the bottom of the social heap, gang members drug addicts, those in violent relationships, abused and traumatized people. Dealing mostly with parents of families.
I have no school qualifications, no degree. I turned 50 this year I worked here for 2 1/2 years. I have only life experience. We would visit people in their homes and tell them of the service we provided. We run a 5 week programme emotional healing. Targeting past traumas and how that could affect you if left unresolved. At the end of the programme clients were led to salvation.

Cut a long story short. Funding ran out for me. Hence my dismissal.
So (obviously)a lot of things have gone through my mind.
God removed his blessing is how my work colleague or bosses would put it.
i got blamed for not carrying the anointing.
Our donor fundraisers werent making the required profit.
People started getting sick, including me, especially the bosses wife who got sick after a 10 day trip to the pacific islands to make matters worse they're house got flooded as well.
It didn't look to good for me, so my thinking was someone somewhere in the organization is not carrying the anointing walking right with God.


I guess you you could say I'm leaning on my own understanding. But I'm trusting in God.
Yet I will worship the Lord.
yet I will praise the God of my Salvation.
Please keep me in your prayers.
I have Credit card debts, Vehicle payments, and i am a bit saddened I may not get a job. It's really hard to get a job in New Zealand. and I don't want to rely on a Government handout.

God never removes His blessings from us. Stuff happens, people lose jobs. God undoubtedly has better stuff in store for you. Just hang in there.

You won't find a job, while feeling bad about not having a job or losing a job. There is a job waiting for you, you just have to real-ise it (have faith rather than doubt). Everything is fine. Things come, things go, things change, but don't get stuck in the in-between period of change.

It looks to me like you should be thanking God for getting you away from that mess.
Find another charity, if that is your "bag", if not, the state you work in has recourses for the unemployed...like money, (at least for a while), and employment opportunities, resume classes, etc.

I see you are in a foreign country, so maybe my advice, (except for thanking God), may be null and void.

Praise you, Lord, for getting him out of that crappy job, where everyone was busy doing and blaming, because they forgot it's about you!

Now, Lord, help him see the problem, and help him see which direction you want him to go next!

That is a load of trash and blame shifting and should be rejected out of hand.

I have to be honest here. If I understand correctly what you are saying is something along the following.

You work for a charitable faith ministry.
Your job was to go into the community tell them about a service you offer and fundraisers sent before you or after you would then say “We can do this but we need money” or was fundraising part of your job?

So to answer the fundraisers. Those were events where donors who fund the organization came and they brought their new friends to see if they would support us. The event was to showcase the current donors where the money they put in was going, so we highlighted the work in the community of who we worked with and how their lives had now changed.

First, God is in control! Rev. 20:6. The enemy is not in control of your life, if you have given it to Christ.

Second, what is this "anointing" you speak of? I thought it was for prophets and kings in the OT. And Jesus! If you are saved, the Holy Spirit is always in you. That is the anointing in the NT. And he does work all things together for good.

"And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose," Romans 8:28

God is always working in your life! Getting fired is a big issue, because of finances. But, God will take you in a different direction. Hopefully away from people who are telling you that you have lost the Holy Spirit. We never lose the Holy Spirit. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit.

"And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation)—when you believed in Christ—you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the down payment of our inheritance, until the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of his glory."
Eph. 1:13-14

In fact, from the abuse you took, it almost sounds like you were in a cult! If you did your job honestly and to the best of your ability, that is all any workplace can expect.

Finally, bad things do happen to Christians. But, they are there to transform us and change us. Do you read the Bible on your own? Try the Psalms, if you want to hear about people suffering. And the NT is about a people saved by God's grace, and that God is changing them to be more like him!

"Not only this, but we also rejoice in sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance, character, and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us." Romans 5:3-5

"And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit" 2 Cor. 3:18

This is going to be a glorious time for you, as God works new things in your life, and transforms you from someone with wrong beliefs, like only good things happen to Christians, to someone who has a much deeper walk with Christ.

And I will be praying for you to find a job that is much better for you.

Wow thank you Sis. Im encouraged. Actually the Psalms has been my read and study for the last two weeks. I love it. At the moment im working of the redundancy weeks left which is about 3 weeks to go. Then will post update how things go. So encouraged by every person posting . Thank you Family.

The reason that you lost your job is not because God removed His blessing, but perhaps because you completed the task that your heavenly father had prepared for you beforehand.

It is admirable that you are not seeking government help but due to your present financial circumstances I would reconsider any options available. After all, it was your tax dollars that makes government programs possible in the first place.

In my opinion, the organization that you worked for didn't appreciate your talents. That's their loss not yours.

It is very good for you to continue to trust in God despite the hard circumstances that you find yourself in.
