This is something for us all to think about. I must also admit that I am doing this for selfish reasons as I don’t always do that well in this area. What I am talking about is how we come across especially to seekers or non-Christians with our responses to them or our comments to each other in our responses. I recently followed a thread where advice was given and it quickly turned into a heated discussion amongst the brothers and sisters. The person looking for advice went to another forum and interacted with them and accepted some of their advice. The thread was eventually closed. What I am looking for here are ideas, suggestions, or advice on how we can:
1) Give truth on subjects that can be controversial with differing ideas amongst the brotherhood.
2) Respond when someone says something insulting or just hard to swallow on something we have said or written.
3) Ways I can respond when having been misunderstood.
4) Answer difficult questions where it is most likely going to be very hard for the person to accept the truth we are sharing with them.
Ultimately how can we do what we do on the forums and be good witnesses for God having a positive effect on the Kingdom regardless of how difficult what I am saying is for others to accept – how can we represent our Lord well? Scriptures would be greatly welcomed.

5.) Stop thinking we're counselors or prophets.
6.) Stop blaming everything on evil spirits, mental illness, medication, or "you should divorce."
7.) Stop thinking you're better than that person.
8.) Stop spitballing answers.

Not so much scripture as common sense.

Bad news is the armchair shrinks and exorcists don't listen.

Noble and commendable endeavor to want to change the world for the better.
Good luck with that.

Ecc. 1:9
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done
is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
