Hello I just want to share my story.
My mom was diagnosed with cancer at the start of the year and it was too late. She battled with it for 5 months. She died a day before her bday and 5 days before my graduation day. I was so sad because I never thought that I would lose her this soon. I was crying to God and starts to ask questions why? Why me why my family. But Later on i realized that He has always a plan. After 2 months my uncle (mom’s sibling) died because of an accident. I was devastated because we still haven’t moved on from what happened and still something like this occured. I never questioned the Lord but there is a point in my life that I do not know what to do anymore. But i prayed and prayed for God’s wisdom so that i can be enlightned. Everyday the Lord made me feel that I am complete and made me feel that things will get better soon.

I ask you for your prayers for my family. And i hope that you will have also a stronger faith with the Lord amidst of the trials in your life. Have a good day!

Is it faith if you don't question? How can you be enlightened if you don't question?

Here's a book on why bad things happen to believers. When God Weeps.

A 17 year old Christian girl went swimming with a group of her friends. She dove down into the water, and drifted back up after she broke her neck and became a quadriplegic. She and her best friend spent the next six months studying the Bible to answer the obvious question: "Why me, God?"

She and her best friend got their answers, and then wrote this book later. Her name is Joni. The link is to that book, but it's one page on her site. She's in her mid 60s now, has been ministering for the Lord ever since, her life wasn't without more complications later on, (she is now a cancer survivor), and she has helped many of us learn, "Why me, Lord?"

Now that is a life of faith!

Feel free to question God. He's big enough to take it, actually appreciates us taking the time we need to spend with him to question, and is never short on answers. The only problem with questioning God is on our end. Sometimes his answers are beyond our abilities to understand. Of course, we can't learn the difference until we ask the question and seek his answers.

I lost my Mom to cancer when I was 16. It's a shocker. And being without Mom for the rest of our lives bring complications at time, but nothing the Lord can't handle. Really, really okay to ask God why. And, it has taken him a few decades with me, but I see how that one thing course-corrected me to being where I am today. aka Where God always planned me to be today.

I am so sorry for your loss. I pray you and your family are filled with peace beyond understanding as you mourn and experience restoration as you learn a new normal. My family suffered the loss of loved ones who left way before their time. One was the only real support I had a couple years prior to my college graduation. I actually put off graduation by a year because I just couldn't bear the idea of walking across the stage without this person there. I still had family, I did eventually cross the stage, but it took the strength of God to keep me together. I get the pain and the questions. But know this, God does NOT steal, kill or destroy. He is a God of healing and restoration. Why do we experience these losses? Because we live in a fallen world. He says in His word that we WILL experience trials and tribulations. Didn't Jesus lose His friend Lazarus? And then He called him out of the grave. Didn't Jesus ask God if it was possible to let the cup pass from Him prior to being crucified? We are equipped to battle hardships and loss with His words in 1 John 4:4 "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."
