I really need God to move on my behalf today. I'm devastated. I don't know what is going on in my life but I know that God is in control. I need relief. I know that God has my problems in the palm of his hands, but right now... I can't feel him. I feel so lost right now. My nerves are shot. I just need something.. anything.. maybe that's selfish but God challenged me to believe for a miracle and right now it's all I can do to keep it together. I feel broken. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to endure. My marriage is at risk. Please pray for me and Steven

Welcome Heather! Like you said. It's going to be ok. While we're in the middle of the storm it is difficult to see how the Lord will work it out. But you recognize that He IS IN CONTROL.

Holy Father, we lift up Heather and Steven to You. We ask that You reveal Yourself in mighty, unmistakable ways. Let them put YOU as the focus of their marriage and everything else they do, knowing that is the key to loving each other, serving each other, and giving Grace in all situations to each other. In Jesus sweet Name I pray.

My whole life crashed and burned four years ago and at the worse of it was the death of my late wife at an early age. I was very much lost and my nerves were shot too but God was with me to put the pieces of my life back together and He is with you too. I have prayed for God to work a miracle in the midst of your trials and marital difficulties. A lot of other members here can tell of similar stories so please know that you are not alone. Hopefully, you will find comfort, support and understanding from the members of this site. Glad to have you join us. Welcome to CC.

Man and woman has no problem that the Cross cannot answer. Apply the Cross to the problem and receive Grace.

Hi Heather, I am praying for you and your husband. You are right to recognize that God is with you. It is truth. It doesn't have anything to do with feelings which can change with circumstances and even the weather. You can depend on God. He knows what is going on and knows what you need. Don't panic. Take a deep breath. People are praying and God is near. Is there another believer who can stay with you right now?

No. But I have some that are staying up on the phone with me

That is good. The companionship of a praying friend can be a great comfort and is one of the ways that God gives you strength. You will get through this. I will continue to pray for you and I will check with you in the morning to see how you are. When I was going through difficult times in my life, I would have a cup of tea of coffee and talk to God. It is surprisingly calming. Try to get some rest.

Good morning Heather, I just wanted to check in and let you know that I still am holding you and Steven up in prayer. Second chances and reconciliation are the things that are at the center of our Savior's heart. He does them well and our hope is in Him.

I read what you said the first day you posted, but had nothing to offer, but prayer. So, I've been praying.

Today, I was given something for you, (and me), in the way of a Charles Spurgeon devotional.

“Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.”
Psa. 119:49

Whatever your especial need may be, you may readily find some promise in the Bible suited to it. Are you faint and feeble because your way is rough and you are weary? Here is the promise-”He giveth power to the faint.” When you read such a promise, take it back to the great Promiser, and ask him to fulfil his own word. Are you seeking after Christ, and thirsting for closer communion with him? This promise shines like a star upon you-”Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Take that promise to the throne continually; do not plead anything else, but go to God over and over again with this-”Lord, thou hast said it, do as thou hast said.” Are you distressed because of sin, and burdened with the heavy load of your iniquities? Listen to these words-”I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions, and will no more remember thy sins.” You have no merit of your own to plead why he should pardon you, but plead his written engagements and he will perform them. Are you afraid lest you should not be able to hold on to the end, lest, after having thought yourself a child of God, you should prove a castaway? If that is your state, take this word of grace to the throne and plead it: “The mountains may depart, and the hills may be removed, but the covenant of my love shall not depart from thee.” If you have lost the sweet sense of the Saviour’s presence, and are seeking him with a sorrowful heart, remember the promises: “Return unto me, and I will return unto you;” “For a small moment have I forsaken thee, but with great mercies will I gather thee.” Banquet your faith upon God’s own word, and whatever your fears or wants, repair to the Bank of Faith with your Father’s note of hand, saying, “Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.”

Thank you so much. I just need a miracle
You really don't need a miracle as much as you need God. God works out all things for the good for his people. (See my signature for accurate words to that verse.) Most of what God works out is through the laws he set up for nature. Occasionally, he goes in the unexpected way, which looks like the opposite of those laws of nature. That's what we call miracles.

If you keep expecting the miracle without expecting the God behind the miracle, you miss how he usually does things. Expect God! Miracle may or may not happen through him. But seek him. Seek him through prayer, his word, and counsel of people you trust. And listen while seeking. Listen in prayer. Listen in studying his word. Listen to counsel. In there is your answer, because in there is God -- not merely "miracle."

I fear you're expecting a miracle, when your life is in danger. (I don't know. I'm just really good at worrying.) If that's the case, that's no different than taking your hands off the steering wheel while driving on a highway, and expecting God to miraculously steer the car. Not so much "expecting a miracle," as daring God. Not a good thing.
