My boyfriend Joshua died. He just turned 20. He was going to be a pilot. I was going to marry him. We were going to be so happy together. We were going to start a family together. But we won't.
Because we can't.
Because Joshua is now dead.
It was a rare cancer that took him from me.
why?
he never did anything wrong
he was spiritual and devoted to God
he was devoted to me.
We loved each other.

Isaiah 57:1-2 New Living Translation (NLT)

57 Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. [SUP]

2 [/SUP]For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die.

Whenever the Lord prematurely take certain Saints away in death, evil is coming. God may permit the premature death of His servants as an escape from calamities worse than death (1 Ki. 14:13; 2 Ki. 22:20).

I agree with this post..

Death is not always a curse.. Sometimes it is a blessing.. But for the loved ones it still means a time of greaving for the loss of a loved one.. This is a process that happens to everyone who has lost someone they trully loved.. May you be blessed SillyMillie , may you be given strengh to endure you time of greaving..

We live in a fallen world. From the fall of Adam and Eve to this very day, all of creation groans and travails in pain together. You have indicated Joshua had a rare form of cancer —— that is a byproduct of the fall of Adam.

You also indicated Joshua was spiritual and devoted to God. That is something to be thankful for.

So, so sorry that Joshua passed.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know it seems unfair. Some people that I knew who I was very close to also had their lives end at a very young age. Even my cousin who lived for just one month, never made it out of the hospital. I can't explain it. I wish i could but we have to trust that God's understanding surpasses our own. There is no better place Joshua rather be right now than in the place that God has prepared for him and in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who loves him infinitely. My prayers are with you during this very difficult time. Psalm 55:22 - "Cast your burden on the LORD, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved."

And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, "Write, 'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!'" "Yes," says the Spirit, "so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them."
Rev 14:3

"we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord."
2Cor 5:8

"The wicked is thrust down by his wrongdoing, But the righteous has a refuge when he dies."
Prov 14:32

"Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His godly ones."
Ps 116:15

"For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For indeed in this house we groan, longing to be clothed with our dwelling from heaven"

2Cor 5:1-3

he never did anything wrong
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
R 3:23

We cannot know, because we are not God, considering all past, present and future events.

Generally speaking, it was the best time for him to depart this sinful world, thats why God allowed it.

Maybe he was in such a state of perfection in Christ, that it was the top peak of his spiritual life (and future would bring a decline) and for his own sake, God took him now so that he will have all the eternal rewards in heaven.

Millie, so sorry this horrible tragedy has disrupted your life. There are no adequate words at a time like this. He sounds like a lovely young man. I hope you have someone, a parent, sibling or close friend to help you through the grieving process.

((Hugs))

So sorry for your loss Millie... It seems unfair indeed. Please, may God himself comforts you. Because nobody else can do it better.
Please be grateful for being in love and being loved. That means both you and him was already blessed. Please keep love in your heart.
I believe our Lord who is Love is stronger than death, and everyone will meet each other in Heaven, in His arms.

Perhaps God takes some people when their work is finished on earth. Hopefully, He will allow me a year or two to enjoy my retirement when the time comes. Either way, I'm all set with what God decides is best for my life.

I'm sure that God takes away a few to spare them of evil but He also needs faithful servants here on earth to challenge the evils of the world and to make a positive difference.

Personally, I would prefer that God not choose to take me away from the evil and the cares of this world as I am called to serve Him to the best of my ability. Often, despite the trials and tribulations of life one can become even stronger than before by determination, perseverance and the grace of God.

I’m so sorry for your loss, girl. My heart ached as I read your post, and I wish I could give you a hug. I know how difficult and painful it must be for you. Though I don’t have words to convey my care and concern, I said a prayer for you, asking God to surround you with His comfort and heal you whenever you hurt. I know it’s not easy, but stay strong. Hugs!

Hi, SillyMillie

I pray that God will comfort you during this difficult time. We often do not understand why God does the things that he do. We might be a little bold and tell him that we did not agree with it. I want you to know that God always has our best interest at heart. He never wants to harm or hurt us in any way. (Read Jeremiah 29:11) I pray that God will comfort his family as well. :)

Death is never a curse... both life and death are blessings. You knew Joshua for a wonderful, but short, while... and now he is where he is meant to be.

And when we suffer loss it makes our finding them again that much sweeter... so... the loss was a blessing as well.

All death is a return... and in the twinkling of an eye.. we will return as well. And it will be sweeter than we can imagine.
