Hi Fam

Help me with this one.

I'm a divorcee-- hubby left and married another. they secretly encouraging my daughter to accept the new wife as "step mom"
Is it wrong of me as a child of God to not encourage this. I've searched the scriptures and no where have I come across step parents.

Ps. I'm also wondering does grace take away the wrong that they did. because Prov5; 6 and chapter 7 speaks of the consequences of adultery...

Where do I stand? Yes hubby is a born again Christian and so is the new wife.

yes and Moses was raise by Pharaoh's daughter and and we are all adopted by God . There are many people in the bible who were raised by others so i think the more family I have the better as long as the teaching is biblical . but you are always the true mother . also the jews always had concubines that raised the kids for the parents

Yes, when someone re-marries another person, and either one of them or them both are having children from earlier partnership or marriage, they become some form of stepmom/stepdad. Still, this shouldn't take away your role as the real mother to your children.

Some friends of mine that are now married having both children from earlier marriage/partnership(they are both now born again Christians), when the daughter of my friend started to call her husband for dad, he told her that he prefered her calling him by name, since she had another real dad, and he wanted it to be this way also to respect the role her real dad has in her life by not taking it away from him. I think this is the most correct way of doing it.
