Take heart, though, God works on us a little at a time, too. This may be an area he is ok with gently calling you toward and waiting for you to respond. Just keep loving Him and seeking Him, what is it that hymn said...
seek ye first the kingdom of God and ALLL things shall be added unto you.... I think that tithing will be added unto you if you keep seeking!
