I am new here but have a question and would love to hear some sound biblical opinions. My husband and I have 2 beautiful children a girl who will be 5 next month and a son who will be 2 in August. We never questioned having the both of them but now we are on the fence with having number 3. On one hand I would love to just say lets just go with it and see what happens. On the other hand how much control do we really have when it comes to birth control options? If God wants us to have another child is it going to happen anyway? So should we just "go with it"(this is a best I can put it without getting graphic) and is that just being plan down irresponsible? I have done a ton of growing in my faith in a passed year and I am doing much better in letting God be in control but where does the lines between God's plan and natural science come in?

God wants us to make wise decisions. God never wants us to guess or leave things to chance if we can come to a wise decision. If you truly cannot come to a decision on your own, seek counsel from someone qualified like a family counselor. Also pray for God's will to be revealed to you while you do these things.

As for birth control, it is never 100%, but it is still effective most of the time. It also depends on what type you are talking about. I was referring to non-natural forms of it.

God bless.

False dichotomy. God's sovereignty entails that He can allow things to happen according to their natural progression, and still be in complete control.

Yes God is not bound by the laws of physics or nature.
