The Rebellious Child and the Obedient Child.

The Father said to his children, ''Do not go into the kitchen and do not touch the stove. Do you understand?''

The children replied, ''yes.''

The Father went away on a trip and while he was gone, the rebellious child said to the obedient child, ''why did Father say we ought not go into the kitchen?'' The obedient child said, ''I don't know, but he said not to.'' Then the rebellious child said to the obedient child, '' there isn't anything wrong with the kitchen. I am going to go into the kitchen.'' So he went into the kitchen. And he called from the kitchen to the obedient child and said, ''why did Father say we ought not touch the stove!''
And the obedient child said, ''I don't know but he said not to.'' And the rebellious child said, ''there is nothing wrong with the stove, I am going to touch it.'' And as soon as he touched it he was burned. 3rd degree burns. He yelled and screamed. He ran to the obedient child and said, ''Help help! I am burning!!'' And the obedient child said to the rebellious child, ''wait until dad gets home and he will put something on it.'' But the rebellious child said, ''I cannot tell him, I have to hide it.''

The Father came home and he called for his children. And he asked them, ''Did you stay out of the kitchen?'' And they both said, ''yes Father.'' And he asked again, '' And did you not touch the stove like I said?'' And they both said, yes Father.'' And then the Father said, '' Then tell me, you rebellious child, why are you hiding your hands?'' They both were struck with fear, even the obedient child. And the father said, ''Both of you, put out your hands.'' They put out their hands and the rebellious child showed burns, badly. The Father was full of anger. And the rebellious child was punished, and the obedient child was blessed.

Firstly any decent father would tell a child why they were not meant to touch somthing especially a stove. And secondly that is a poor moral, you should not obey just because you are told to. If my dad told me to go beat a man to death I wouldnt do it, if my dad told me not to take paracetomol when I was in pain I would still take paracetomol.

Eze 18:3 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, ye shall not have occasion any more to use this proverb in Israel.

Eze 18:22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
Eze 18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
Eze 18:24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

Eze 18:25 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?
Eze 18:26 When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
Eze 18:27 Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
Eze 18:28 Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Eze 18:29 Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?
Eze 18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Eze 18:31 Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
Eze 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
