I listened to some of the links not all, but throughout my life I have heard lots of similar music. this is what I beleive (and I've seen similar thoughts throughout this site) 1. God knows everyone's heart and why/how they do the things they do. 2.He will always turn what satan means for evil into something good (not that I think any of this music is evil or of satan but some people might, but even so -> Genesis 50:20). My whole hearted belief: If these "diff" styles of Christina music reaches even one soul and saves it.. it is well worth it and noone should judge it (Matthew 7:1-2). p.s. I loved the Skillet Video :0)

The thing to keep in mind is when you listen to it does it put you in a spirit to worship God.. if so,,, then it is not of the devil

I'm sure at least a couple of you know my idea of this based on a past thread, all I will say this time is be careful what kind of things you are putting in your head. Satan is the master of deception, don't be deceived.

Matthew 24:4
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Romans 16:18
For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Revelation 12:9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Satan has the power to deceive the whole world. He can disguise himself as an angel of light, and he will deceive many.

2 Corinthians 11:14
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

There is always one.

Megatron, instead of taking stabs at me, how about you try saying something edifying?! I haven't seen one post where you are trying to help somebody grow spiritually or even lift somebody up. Not saying that you haven't done any edifying, but I surely haven't seen it.

My observation, and See_King_Truth maybe you can attest to this as well... I have noticed it seems like by and large within Christian circles, we are in denial about how much media influences the way we think and operate.

Yes jimmydiggs, I am not sure that it is even as much of a matter of denial as it is plain unawareness though. Many people underestimate the power of satan. Lucifer was the highest and most beautiful of all the angels in heaven at one point, he was so puffed up with pride from this that it eventually led to him being cast out of heaven. Lucifer was so persuasive and cunning that he convinced a third of the angels in heaven to follow him in his fall.

Lucifer was the leader of worship in heaven. It can also be said that he was God's chief musician by this description in

Ezekiel 28:13: (note the italics)
Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

I am not saying by this that all music comes from the devil. I just want people to be aware of the enemy we are up against. Satan controls the media, this is his world, this world is not of God!

Ephesians 6:12:
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Through Christ and with God we have the victory! Praise God!

I always find it interesting that people that attempt to use scripture & discuss satans place in heaven in regards to music, & his deceptive nature, only ever apply that to things they don't personally like or agree with. yet it seems to magically not apply to the things that is there opinion (& nothing but opinion) 'acceptable'. its amazing how satan only deceives through certain kinds of music & not all. how convenient.

I love a lot of forms of music.

I especially love Classic rock.

I have quit listening to the music I used to love the most.

For me, it isn't what I want.

I always find it interesting how people totally take posts out of context and try to make it mean something that it was never intended to be. FYI, I like hard christian rock, christian metal. I even used to listen to death metal i.e: Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus ect. My heart told me that that music was hindering me spiritually, so I dropped it along with the rockstar lifestyle I was living. My heart tells me what is and what is not acceptable because that is where Christ lives. My post had nothing to do with personal opinion btw. Satan can deceive people however he sees fit, he is not limited any genre of music or limited to music at all for that matter.
