Hmm. The sweet ol days of sibling quarrels.
As an older brother, I had to clean up after my little brother and sister when they made a mess. I used to have to wipe up their diaper poo, and it was yucky. Sometimes it was too stinky. My mom used to let my sister teeth on my t-shirt. So I would have to walk around with a tip of spit on my arm sleeve. Other times I had to clean up their toys, or clean out the bathtub after them. And at one point, my complaint was, ''IT'S NOT MY MESS. SO I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO CLEAN IT UP!!'' Yup. The rebellion days. Teenager years. We get a little wise, or maybe a little foolish. Much of my life has been this way. But I am understanding a lesson. WE MADE A WHOLE BUNCH OF MESS!!! And Jesus Christ HAD TO CLEAN IT UP!!........... AND HE DIDN'T HAVE TO!! I have learned this lesson in so many ways that I would be a fool to act like I am better than someone else. If Jesus had said to the Father, ''Nope, they are filthy, and they keep on messing on themselves, no way, I am not cleaning it up, just so they can go do it again,'' I WOULD BE UTTERLY MESSY!! Even as a child must we enter the kingdom of heaven. Just as a child would go to his daddy saying, ''Pappa, I poo poo again.'' The dear child, he has not matured enough to control it, so the daddy gets down and cleans it up. No problem. He is yet a child. My friends. If you sin, as God knows, he will wipe it up and out. But you have to go to him. You will mature in Christ Jesus. And you will learn how to fight off the temptations. You will mature. Don't sit in your mess. My dear friend. Repentance is beautiful. The Lord cares for you. He will wipe away all the filthy things. He will renew you completely. He will return your flesh to the days of your youth. He will wipe away the sin. He will cleanse your heart. Don't go another day in your mess. Go to the Lord because he cares for you. I love you in Jesus Christ. May Jesus bless you. |

Some of the times I've felt closest to God is when I was cleaning up other's messes. I agree with you Ramon. We definitely don't deserve anything from God but death and hell. I'm so grateful He chose to save me!

And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not, as so many,[a] peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.. Col 3 15 Andlet the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. |

Brother Ramon: I love you in the Lord for your post! I started tearing up toward the end. Thank you for the reminder. Lord knows I have asked Him to clean up MANY of my nasty messes...and sometimes He has let me sit in my own mess for awhile to realize how much of a mess I had made and NOT to do it again. I love our patient Father, don't you?

More patient than I yet know how to be. I want to be like him. I want to have that perfect love. It is the love of God that drew us to him. I pray we never have to see his wrath!!! Don't you love your child? And if anyone messes with your child, wouldn't your love for your child make you angry? It is the same way with the Lord. Yet, he wants us to be slow to wrath, as his children, because he is our Father! God is far more wise!! My friend, I think of him very much like I would think of a perfect husband also. And most of the time I am like a nagging wife. I need someone to understand me, and he DOES!! I need someone to care for me, and he does!! I need someone to defend me, and he does!! I need someone to be patient with me, and he is!! When I go off in my fits, he sits there and lets me come to the end of myself, and with calm stern words, rebukes me in my silliness. I am left to the conclusion, ''Lord you are good, and I am a wreck, make me like you.'' May Jesus bless you!! |
