As most of you are aware in here I have two teenage daughters, ages almost 18( this aug, and 17 in dec).the 17 year old met a boy in high school this past year whom she has been dating for maybe Ill say 7 or 8 months now. He was in foster care since birth and had been with this last family for 9 months or so, good kid, just graduated week before last. To make a long story short, we ( my husband and myself) just went and got this kid from the local mission here about 2 hours ago because the foster family decided since they no longer would receive money from keeping him ( he just turned 18), he could no longer stay there. So basically they took a brand spankin new barely 18 year old kid, bought him a 12 pk of powerade and a box of little debbies and set him out on the street in front of the local homeless mission for adults!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like Im officailly the mother of 5 now, as I cannot fathom ANYBODY EVER just throwin someone away. Im heartbroken, I need prayer and i just needed to vent cause I cant beleieve folks really are this way towards human beings. Any thoughts or prayers are appriated. Thanks, NM

I pray that God will work this situation out for the good of all involved, even if it doesn't seem like a good thing now.

Thanks so much for your prayers, you will never know how much it means, I have updates: I talked to a lady who was his case worker over all of this omni-vision stuff, and it seems we can get him into life skill classes and enrolled in trade school so he can learn how to prepare himself for adulthood ( this was something the foster parents were already supposed to have been doin, but obviously havent). Also, I have a meeting with this lady next week so we can get this stuff in place for him. Till then ...i guess ITS A BOY!!!!!!! Im the proud new mother of a 6 foot 1 ,160 pd boy!

Mom, You have a big heart!! I will be praying for you.. I would do the same.. I can't understand how people can do that to these young people and then complain about how bad they turn out.. Most times all they need is a loving home.. God Bless you and Dad !!! love you too!!

ty merry....and i agree, i honestly hope ppl dont take these kids just for the monetary gain, you just have to stop and think ....what if my kids were ever put in a position to where they needed help someday, and I hope God would put someone in their path with love and compassion and a lil common sence too.

Yes, it's true. There are tons of people that value money over human life. It is the true evil that presides in cultures and even whole structured societies.

I have no idea why God has allowed people to use their free will in this capacity.

It's almost like giving us free-will was ultimately a PHAILZ.

I have thought about that for a long time. But, you know what.

God knows Best. That is the end of my logic and the start of my faith.

Jesus said you will know my disciples but their "fruit"...how we live our lives.

So, by you doing this, you are showing us you are one of HIS.

Action speaks louder than words. I hope God blesses you this and I know HE will.

dear noahsmom, my heart goes out to you, your family and this young man. God knows, He knows what these people did to him, and He knows what you have done. In God's timing they will get their just reward. And God will bless you and your family beyond measure. He will give you the strength and the words to comfort this young man.

my son has a girlfrend who just graduated and is in foster care also. the money the foster parents get for her, they will not use it to take care of her, she does work and she pays her own way, she will be 18 in september. my son and her plan on getting married, i hope they wait a little while. but my heart hurts for her because when she is 18 she will be out also but her little brother will be there alone, without her. she is worried about what will happen to him.

let me pray for you. Dear Heavenly Father I lift this family up to you in the name of Jesus. Father I ask that you bless this family, bless this young man, I pray for a hedge of protection around him, Father take control of his steps, let his steps be your steps. let him feel your love through this family, Father let this families arms be an extension of your arms, give them the words to say to him. Father give this family strength, let their cupboards overflow with food to be able to feed everyone, that no-one go without. Let their finances be enough, Father more than enough. Father bless them coming in and going out. this I ak in Jesus name amen.
